  Enjoyed my stay!

  This was a lengthy stay almost 8 weeks in Lyons on business. The room was quite adequate, clean and quiet. The bathroom was clean with plenty towels and always had hot water! The cable TV had good selection of channels and good WIFI signal. The continental breakfast was an added plus offering both hot and cold meals

  Mostly good

  This is a humble, family-owned/operated place. It was clean and the beds were fine. Some rooms and some common areas/exterior have been or are being updated/upgraded and painted. The staff is hard-working and aims to please. Caveats to travelers: 1) Bring your own amenities. Only shampoo and bar soap are provided. 2) Pillows in our room all were flat. If you're fussy about pillows, bring your own. 3) Carpets in our rooms didn't feel quite clean under our bare feet. Notes to owners/staff: We have stayed at Lyons Inns 4-5 nights every alternate July for about 15 years and we'll probably continue for another 15 years, so I'm not making threats. But the following improvements would make our stay much more pleasant. 1) Please replace the pillows when you can. 2) Please clean the carpets when you can. 3) If funds permit, please consider replacing the toilet seats with seats with lids. In a very small bathroom with almost no counter space, the toilet lid provides an additional flat surface for a toiletry bag. The lid also helps prevent the dropping of toiletries and make-up into the toilet. Thanks for taking care of us. We'll see you in 2020.

  My family meet up in Lyons for a family reunion. We ended up booking 5 rooms,at the Lyons Inn, approx 1 month before reservation date. I had made several phone calls with different requests (all to better serve my family)and the folks at the inn were very pleasant and accommodating. The air conditioner did malfunction during our stay but the owners quickly handled the problem and got us another room right away. Anything you need,the staff is there to help you. It was nice to see all the updates that they are doing on the rooms.I would highly recommend staying at the Lyons Inn the next time you are visiting or passing thru the Lyons/ Sterling area of Kansas.

  despite being off season they had a full breakfast for the 10-12 guests that had stayed that night. They upgraded the rooms since our last visit. pulling out all the carpet and laying a nice heavy vinyl. It gave a very clean feeling

  Truckers passing through

  As I have mentioned in previous reviews we always look for a place that has semi tractor trailer parking and this place had it. It is not much to look at and pretty much run down but the bed was comfortable and looked clean. The room did have a small refrigerator and microwave. The man at the front was very cordial. Someone had mentioned very few amenities which was pretty much true. They have soap and 2 packets of conditioning shampoo. Another review mentioned flat pillows. I thought they were fine. I dont like fat ones. We ate at the Mexican restaurant next-door which was good. I would stay if we had to wait for a load again besides I think choices are limited. There are several places in the area to eat.
