  English speaker friendly & very accomodating

  Great service all around. The front desk staff speak decent to conversational English and were able to answer all questions I had about the hotel. The buffet breakfast is pretty good as well. The staff made me feel very comfortable despite the language barrier. Location isn't too far from food either as there is a few convenience stores, night market and McDonald's in walking distance. Would recommend for any English speakers travelling to Taichung

  Fantastic city view from room and rooftop pool

  We've stayed numerous times at Maison de Chine Taichung, one of the most enjoyable city hotels in central Taiwan. Sleek and spacious lobby, soberly chic and comfortable rooms. Great rooftop with gym, outdoor swimming pool and spa facilities (spa pool, hot tub, sauna, ...) and views over the whole city and the beautiful mountains in the distance. Great spot for taking in the sunset! Lovely restaurant for buffet breakfast, buffet lunch, and (Fri-Sun for the time being) buffet dinner. Kind and polite staff in the whole hotel. Last but not least: I was graciously upgraded to a very spacious room on the business floor, with a fantastic bathroom allowing for wonderful city views from the tub or massage shower. As it's my birthday this month, it's like a perfect birthday gift from the hotel.

  Feedback

  There's good view in our room, and there's also snacks and tea that we can have and drink. The breakfast is good, too. But it's better to have more desks and bigger beds. I would visit again if I have chance.

  Dusty Room Dated Dingy

  We booked this hotel because we enjoyed their high-value property at Sun Moon Lake. We expected a children friendly and fun hotel. That was not possible because pool and kids recreation areas were closed due to Covid-19 concerns. It was not possible to get a coffee or a bowl of noodles at lobby lounge. My goodness. We had to walk 1.5 km to get a decent cup of coffee. I cannot imagine how this hotel was a Family Choice hotel in 2020. It has few comfortable or enjoyable facilities. I would like to know it was chosen, how that process works.

  Birthday

  The front desk is friendly and approachable. The breakfast is fantastic and delicious. There are many food you can choose. We avail the superior double room and the room is spacious. They have a garden in the lower floor. Unfortunately the swimming is temporary closed on our visit but I think the view in the pool is fantastic. Hoping to check in again in here
