  best location possible for a low price

  this is more like apart hotel, they have no reception. when you settle in - they give you keys from the building and from your room. look like you rent a private apartment. I rented a room on the second floor with a bed and sofa bed - renovation was made in June 2012!! that was a reason we had everything new - towels, glasses, soap etc.. but the best thin about this apart hotel - is location. right in the middle of central street Sumskaya. 2 min walk away from the largest square - Freedom Square.

  The dirtiest room I have ever lived in

  The one plus - great location in the center of the city. All is near: metro station, restaurants, supermarket etc. But this is all good news. Very (!) dirty. Our room was dirty when we arrived and nobody has cleaned it during 4 days. All is dirty - floor, walls, bed, shower room... To find personnel - is a tough quest. And a great acoustics - you can hear all what is said or happened in other nearest rooms or in the corridor. Never more.

  Staff was somewhat friendly

  Very, very basic. Staff was somewhat friendly. Wasn't familiar with staying at a hostel. Awakened in the middle of the night by staff person for not sleeping in right bed. Really? Was that necessary when there were 6 other empty beds?
