  stay away from this hotel

  We booked two rooms in this hotel for two nights for 2 adults and 3 children (15,16,2). When we arrived after nearly 6 hours of road trip, the very first thing that been told to us that we cannot stay because the booking was made for 4 adults only! I have tried to show them conformation email that clearly says one twin room and one quadruple room for 5 people, but they refused to look at it and started to shout on us to go away. We were completely shocked and when i asked ok where should we go at about half past eight Friday night, 6 hours away from home, with kids and little baby... They just said they do not care we cannot stay in their hotel as we are liars! We did find another hotel and had to travel another 2.5 hours but after looking at other reviews I understand that we were lucky not to stay there.

  Awfully poor, sad dirty place (But charging half decent rates)

  In Brief, Do NOT book this hotel (unless you want your wife to leave you) ....... Move on and find another - do not be tempted by its price (We paid £85 quid) ....... how bad can it be ? ........ Well shockingly bad is the answer. it's absolutely awful. Dirty, unkept, tired, mouldy showers etc. STAY AWAY, you've been warned ! Its ran by a couple from down south who bought it about 20 years ago by all accounts and to be fair to them as people, they are nice and friendly to chat to for 5 minutes ..... This review isn't knocking them personally, just their filthy hotel ! They clearly either have no idea or do have an idea and are just raping it for every penny they can get ........ My guess was it might have been semi decent when they bought it, but it doesn't look as if its had a single penny spent anywhere in the last 20 years. The showers and bathrooms are disgusting (black mould everywhere), bath mats that look like they could walk away themselves (make sure you wear shoes when you go for a pee !) ....... The rooms can be described as very very tired and dirty/grubby with cheap golden pine furniture that was the fashion in the 1980's, marks on the walls, 20 yr old carpet etc ...... Downstairs isn't much better, the bar area is complemented with dark red velour upholstery straight from a 1970's bad tv show. The breakfast wasn't totally horrendous and there is tea/coffee, toast and cereal, but the fry up is poor. Cheap sausage, sloppy bacon very fatty. Exterior wise the kerb appeal is zero. have they never heard of a broom or something called weeding and painting ! .... your running a hotel for cripes sake !!!!! .....   Dreary beyond Belief

  Great Location close to the beach and plenty of parking. The hotel itself if dreadful. Half the building appears to be closed off being unfit for human habitation and the rest is passed its sell be date putting it mildly. The room furniture looked like a charity shop clearance sale and the shower had black mould around the edges. No hot water and had to boil the kettle to shave. The lounges, ground floor toilets and dining areas had not been cleaned with dust and dead flies throughout and papers towels littered on the grubby floor in the toilets. No one has bothered to water the plants that were withering an dying just like the hotel generally. The outside patio area is a disgrace with rotting garden furniture, weeds and flaky paintwork. Hadn't seen a broom all year. Breakfast below average. Tinned grapefruit and prunes days old. Ugh!!

  Dont book until you check reviews! Expensive mistake!! £137 lost in process.

  Beware! Stupidly booked before I read reviews and tried to cancel booking ten minutes after confirmation email. Couldnt get anything done until following morning and lost £137 for booking without looking!

  Rude staff and disgusting place

  AVOID THIS PLACE. Myself and friends stayed there for a couple of nights. The bedroom looked like something out of a C.I.A or crime investigation place. The bathroom was so fluorescent it looked like Rodney Trotter of only fools and horses painted it with leftover paint. The carpet was stained in almost every place. There was blood on the curtains (small amounts) But it was vile. To my surprise the staff where as disgusting as the place. The short one was vile. He shouted at us when we asked for a pool ball and also complained that he had to cook food. In summary if you want a dirty piss stained hotel and only one beer from the bar feel free to stay here.
