  Average Stay

  We just came back from our one night stay at Mariners Guesthouse. The views are beautiful and the Honeymoon room was ok, although the one hot water tap wasnt working. There are very little amenities available, no pool and the bathroom amenities are lacking a lot, no shower cap, face towels, no little soaps etc., no little chocolates on your bed at R2000 per night which is no value for money and there is no complementary water therefore you have to pay from the minibar in the room. Breakfast is mediocre, nothing special overcooked ingredients. The receptionist was blunt and zero personality and was just interested to settle the outstanding amount Sorry Guys there are better deals around!

  Serenity in Simonstown

  Our two night stay at the Mariner Guesthouse provided a peaceful haven from which we could explore the historic naval town and coastline along False Bay. The sumptuous breakfasts gave us a perfect start to the day. The room was comfortable and well equipped with all we needed. Friendly and efficient staff easily make the Mariner Guesthouse a favourite for anyone needing a delightful place to stay when visiting the Cape Peninsula.

  Well worth a visit

  Tucked away high up on the Simonstown hills it was quite difficult to find initially, but that was partly my fault, I never read the directions thoroughly, and as BOTH sides of the road are 'even' numbered added to the confusion. The room was comfortable and clean and the balcony view over the bay was lovely. Liesel was the perfect host. Nice to see a chalkboard choice of cooked breakfasts. was my first ever stay in Simonstown so can't compare the guesthouse with any other in the town, but in general it was up to expectations.

  We felt at home when we entered the Guesthouse. Owners and staff, very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay, breakfasts were great.. Awesome view. Well worth the money spent, Will for sure visit again,

  An enjoyable but windy stay

  The guesthouse is in a good location with a lovely view. Unfortunately there was a gale force wind on one of the days of our visit (late February). This made exiting the guesthouse and getting into and out of our car tricky. Excellent, friendly service and comfortable, attractive accommodation. A warning for the elderly - there are lots of stairs. A convenient location for exploring the vicinity - but, be warned, on sunny summer weekend days Seaforth and Boulders beaches (including the penguin reserve) become very crowded.
