  Comfortable and accomodating

  Stayed here for 5 days for a family reunion. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, spa facilities are exceptional, location is great for site seeing nearby attractions. What stands out the most to me was how friendly and accommodating the staff was. We arrived late in the evening tired and hungry due to numerous unavoidable travel delays and missed our opportunity to take advantage of the hotel restaurant after checking in. The staff graciously accommodated the 8 of us by keeping the kitchen open and providing us with a very nice service of breads, cheeses, cold cuts and a delicious goulash. They truly went above and beyond for us. The reunion party was 70 plus people and they did an amazing job of hosting and meeting our needs even though we weren't their typical spa/health seeking patrons. The breakfast spread was more than sufficient for all, the pool was great for the kids and the bar/lounge was great for congregating and socializing in the evening. The reunion dinner and activities were well thought out and hosted. They did a great job of meeting the needs of 4 generations at the same time. No easy task I'm sure. Every request was met with friendly, prompt service. Many thanks to the Maritim Hotel Bad Wildungen and staff for their great service and making the reunion a memorable time.

  Spas,Pets,Smoking...what else can you ask for, Air Conditioning!

  The place is very nice. The staff goes out of the way to fill all your needs. No AC but... i asked the front desk for a fan and it beat me up to my room! i was very impressed. I really had a good time while staying at the place

  A former grand hotel that is now cheap enough to experience

  The hotel impresses on arrival. The reception is in a large round section of the building (maybe 30m across). The receptionists were pleasant. Going to my room I was astonished at the width of the corridors (3 or 4m wise), and the marble frames on the doors. My room was a single facing the back of the hotel, a lovely garden, and had a private balcony. The room was very high and well proportioned for a single. I wandered round the hotel looking at all of the features - this must have been an amazing place to take "The cure" in the old days, but was now getting a bit tired in places (weeks on the balcony, paint flaking in the room near the window, rust on the balcony metalwork). But given the price it was well worth it. However - the hotel has lots of options for you to increase the money you give them. The hotel car park is 12 euro (compare that to the 2 euro public car park next door). There appeared to be two types of guests in the hotel, older people (I presume there for the spa) and younger groups with similar folders - which I presume were there for meetings in one of the many conference rooms. As a result the hotel bar was "rocking" at night with a younger group, but was far enough away from most rooms not to bother most people.

  Like entering a time capsule in a good way

  We found this hotel (and the surrounding town) charming. It felt a little like a turn of the 20th century grand hotel. It was clean, the staff was nice, the shower pressure was fantastic. Breakfast was a little overpriced for what it was, but would overall recommend.
