  Short Xmas shopping trip

  Great place to stay. Bryan and Janet are great hosts, nothing was too much trouble. We had a double room which was spotlessly clean and everything you needed to make our stay enjoyable however it was a little small but for the money it was great value.

  We stayed here for 6 nights Brian and Janet could not do any more to make us feel welcome accommodation really clean breakfast great location superb 100% recommend thanks defently be back thanks Angie and jayson

  Home from Home

  Just back from another fabulous week at the Merriedale B&B (25/07/20-01/08/20). If you are looking for that b&b that ticks all the boxes, this is it. Janet & Bryan are great hosts, keep a clean and safe establishment, and serve a substantial breakfast. Maximum of five minutes to the sea front and the high street but tucked away by Victoria Park, lovely and quiet with the added bonus of onsite parking. We have stayed here twice before and talking to other guests, they too are repeat customers. Rooms are well equipped comfortable beds, tv, en suite, and a generous hospitality tray. Co- vid aware they are serving breakfasts in two sitting at the moment, sanitiser to hand and common sense prevails. Always on hand to supply local information and offer local advice. Thanks again Bryan and Janet for an excellent week and looking forward to seeing you in the near future. Continued success for the rest of this troubled season and the future.

  We stayed at Merriedale Guest House and had an absolutely wonderful time!

  Fantastic place to stay, everything is up to a very high standard it is situated in an excellent location with the beach and town are just few minutes walk away. Free parking is provided. Nothing was too much trouble They are very good with covid-19 rules, hand sanitising stations, Seating was per covid-19 guidance regulations The room (no 5)we had was kept very high clean standard and with sea views, well worth the walk up the stairs. Food was excellent, freshly cooked fantastic full breakfast done us until well into the day before we felt hungry again,  .  It was a Family friendly place to stay  Would defiantly  recommend this establishment Thank you Bryan and Janet for an excellent B&B and looking forward to seeing you again PLEASE NOTE: Nothing to do with Merriedale Guest house, as they have no control of local works taking place but be aware there are some building works at the end of Garfield Rd and traffic is down to one lane and traffic builds up from around 4ish with the local car park cars leaving, just be mindful of this when arriving/departing Again this is NOTHING to do with the guest house

  Lovely traditional B&B

  Lovely B&B, 2 mins from the seafront and the town yet very quiet. We just booked a small room as we were going to be out most the time. The room was spotlessly clean, TV & tea/coffee/hot chocolate facilities. The bed was too soft for me but thats a person preference. Breakfast was delicious & meant we didnt need to eat for the rest of the day. The owner was lovely, nice to have a chat to & had lots of recommendations. Theres parking outside which would be tight if full but theres also free on street parking at this time of year. The whole B&B was extremely clean & Covid regulations adhered to Would definitely recommend staying here
