    Mitsui Garden Standard

The hotel was located in a very convenient location which was close to both Sapporo Train Station and Sapporo Heritage City Hall. Its rooms and services were well maintained in the standard of Mitsui Garden. There was small public baths in house and a breakfast restaurant that was turned to be an afternoon relaxing coffee lounge.

    3* hotel at most

Booked a standard room online as the photo presented look fine. But upon check in discovered the marvel of photography. It was so small that 2 adults can even move around unless 1 perso sat on bed to move away from the walking space in the room. We called the reception to upgrade our room to one that is decently bigger for our 2 luggages. Paid for breakfast but didn't enjoy at all as it's mainly Japanese nothing international. Hotel is dated n seems like a budget hotel except for the price. Plus point is it's within minutes to the Sapporo station, Stellar Place n JR tower. Many of restaurants n shops but still unlike Tokyo n Osaka there are more variety of food. There is a onsen for guests at the lower floor no swimming pool. There are many hotels around Sapporo station to choose from, nothing special from this hotel.

Small hotel room with many rooms

Stayed 4 nights here as our usual hotel, Keio Plaza was fully booked, its about a block away. If you can live with small spaces (small lobby, small breakfast place, small rooms), this is your place and then you need to be super organize and neat to packed all your luggages in the small room. We are 2 adults with 2 luggages and upon arrival a few days ago, I literally pack my stuff along the hotel corridor outside the room... lol. For management suggestion and consideration: The issue with the room, they should design it with minimalist functions. Too many furniture, there is a ironing board ( some Japanese hotels placed their ironing boards in the corner of the common corridor for those who really need it). There is too many chairs in the room (Black metal chair, 2 small sofa chairs) n a round table ( see my photos). All these maybe removed to create space for luggages. I had to reorganize the room to create walking space. Another area for management consideration: since checkin is 3pm, the hotel should open the breakfast cum rest area for waiting guests to use from 12pm as the lobby area is tiny n crowded. The breakfast cum rest area is only open from 3pm, its use as a meeting room for the staff most of the time. With regards to service, this hotel does not help with restaurant reservations for tourists. Company policy I was told when trying to make reservations. Other hotels like Keio does assist with such reservations and even if you need a credit card to guarantee reservations most guests would be fine with the arrangement. But a flat NO is unacceptable to me as tourists make a bulk of the guests. There is no porter service except trolleys. There is no lobby driveway if you coming in by car but to stop along the road to unload luggages. Not much wardrobe space with only 3 hangers. For the same price point, Keio Plaza has more spacious grounds n rooms. Will go back to Keio.

    V convenient with public bath

Just a few minutes walk from Sapporo JR station, surrounded by department & shopping malls. Free coffee/tea for guests from afternoon to 11pm. Spacious, clean m quiet room, friendly people in reception. The public bath is relatively small size. Yet, after whole day walking around, having soaked in the hot bath is a way to re-charge yourself. Breakfast is simple but good cover.

    Small room but convenient

Nice hotel but the room is very small. It is however very convenient and okay priced. The hotel is roughly 5 minutes away from Sapporo station and have family Mart just a stone throw away. There is also a parking lot which can be used
