  We were lucky enough to stay at this fabulous resort in a beautiful part of the Sunshine Coast, the facilities were amazing and the staff couldnt of been any more helpful or friendly. We hired a kayak for a small fee and paddled across to Bribie island the water is to die for clear & warm, on an evening there plenty of places to walk and dine

  A short escape from inconvenience

  A note in our mail box advised that we would be without power for 12 hours on Saturday. When the power is off it pays to open the refrigerator door as little as possible and the best way to do that is to not be at home. We had thought about visiting Moorings since lunching as the cafe on their grounds some time ago so when a good deal popped up on our search we grabbed it. We subsequently upgraded from the studio apartment that we initially booked when we realised that these units were not serviced by the elevators, but the extra cost was well worth it. Our glass fronted apartment provided views over Pumicestone Passage to the open sea, where we could see the ships moving in and out of the Moreton Bay shipping channels. At our feet folks strolled beside the water, swam and paddle boarded from its beaches and generally enjoyed themselves. The apartment, a two bedroom unit with the second bedroom locked, was recently renovated and offered every reasonable convenience, including twin hand basins, a spa and large shower. The new kitchen was well fitted and equipped. Adequate sitting and lounging areas were supplemented by a well furnished balcony which received cooling ocean breezes. We wished that we could have stayed longer but we had run out of excuses. The power had gone back on at home the previous day.

  Clean, great location & accommodating management

  This resort is right on the pumicestone passage overlooking Bribie Island. It is only 50m from the back entrance to the Caravan Park if you are visiting residents of the Van Park. The rooms are clean & comfortable. Management are extremely accommodating especially in our situation where my husband was recovering from a bad accident. If you are on the Mid to North end of the Sunshine Coast & want to visit friends at Golden Beach and enjoy a drink or two with your friends, then it's cheaper to stay here for two nights then to take a cab both ways.

  Clean - tidy- well laid out - air conditioned- very good sized balcony Cooking utensils - Fridge- oven- microwave - access to gym and pool Shower over spa bath bit small Living area very roomy Bedroom adequate - washing machine- Dryer in with toilet Overall value for money 2 minute walk to Golden beach and plenty of walks to take Local restaurant excellent

  Our first stay at Moorings Golden Beach we had a ground floor 3 bedroom unit our family had a great time the facilities were excellent. We could Walk straight from our unit to the beach. Cafe onsite for a quick coffee for our morning walks along the the foreshore, Managers Rebecca and Warren were lovely to deal with We have rebooked for our Christmas break this year
