  A hole with some charm

  We stayed for 3 nights and in the hotels defence, it was cheap. However, things advertised such as air conditioning were nonexistent, and the swimming pool is not part of the hotel, but is instead a tiny pool on the side of a busy road across the road from the hotel and shared with other apartments. The breakfast is woeful-we went out every morning to one of the many restaurants nearby. The rooms are not cleaned every day and we had to ask for towels and toilet paper. The rooms are small and cramped, very hot and very noisy. On the plus side, the location is great- right on the river with spectacular views and on a really charming little street that operates as a market in the morning and has lots of bars and restaurants with views. The staff, while fairly inept, are friendly and try to help you. The hotel is known to all local businesses for pick ups etc. Our room was spotlessly clean when we arrived. I would say its fine for a night but not for any length of time.

  Good hotel with stunning views

  Good hotel, rooms adequate and service friendly and good. breakfast a little plain. Views are stunning, make sure you get the right side of the building. Room 402 had stunning balcony views, watched several sunsets there sipping a beer...

  Good hotel, creepy owner

  We enjoyed our stay at this place. It is what you would expect at this price. HOWEVER the guy that greeted us when we came (who seemed really nice and welcoming in the beginning) was freaking us all out. Examples 1: He was swimming naked in the pool, while talking to my friend, asking for the names of girls passing by and doing pull-ups. 2: He charged my friend 120.000kip "in case the police showed up", when he asked if it was okay to fly his drone to take pictures(??) 3: He was inappropriate around girls who stayed at the hotel. The rest of the employees were really nice, but that guy kind of ruined our expirience.

  This place is not more than a hostel and extremly overpriced

  The view from the balcony is great and the location is o.k.: it is in a quiet part of Vang Vieng. BUT: Most of the features offered for our Superior deluxe twin room booked via booking.com were not existing. When we booked our Superior deluxe twin room the following features (among many others) were offered: - Swimming Pool - Sound proof room - Dressing room - Water kettle - Mini bar - Safe This is what we got: - Swimming pool is across the street and belongs to another guesthouse (photos on the web site are taken at a very clever angle!) - I would call the place sound increasing - you could hear all bathroom noises (!) plus water flushing from all neighboring rooms very well. - No place to hang up any piece of clothing - no wardrobe, not even a nail in the wall, needless to say that there was no dressing room - no water kettle - instead of a mini bar we had a fridge which at least kept an ice cold bottle cold for a couple of hours - active cooling of anything was not impossible - the safe was made of very light material and not bolted to anything - I could easily lift it. Whether anything inside would have been "safe" is hard to say. As a "bonus" we got disgusting, dirty bed sheets plus an ant-infested fruit-buffet for breakfast. We originally booked for four nights - when we saw the disaster we tried to change it to two nights. We were ready to pay the demanded price per night but only for the length of our stay. With reference to the policy of booking.com we were told this is not possible. Any try from our side to settle this in the interest of all parties was blocked by the limited English capabilities of the staff. We left after two nights, paid grumbling for the four nights, still trying to get a refund. Bottom line: If you are prepared for a very basic hostel (not hotel) this place might be o.k. - but the offered features need definitely a revision. We did not even get half of what we were offered and paid for - this is fraud.

  Nice stay

  We had a room for 5, the room are big and clean, you have a small terrasse facing the river, The location is really nice, 2 min away from the center, but in a calm street Lots of bike rentals around Really nice and helful staff Breakfast isnt amazing but its find Because we were five, the last one to take her shower would have cold water.
