  A secret you dont mind sharing...

  If you can look past the dated decor this is a wonderful hotel. Booked via Secret Escapes, it didnt disappoint. The staff are ever so friendly and actually care your enjoying your stay. (May be this is one of the benefits of working for a privately owned hotel?) The food is first class. We were there three days so the menu could have changed over the course of that time, as its not the biggest. A minor observation... Lovely grounds and golf course. Would return as its a cracking base for getting around the area.

  Covid safe Golf break

  Really good value break and birthday treat. We were met at the reception with all visible staff wearing masks, Santizer gel was everywhere, we couldn't see the smile but definitely heard the warm welcome in the staff's voices. We had been given (by e-mail) instructions on what was happening in and around the hotel before we arrived and everything advised was taking place. The room was spacious, clean and elegant, which was a lovely surprise as I must admit I had reservations with getting such good value. The spa had only limited amenities on offer but the pool and jacuzzi were a treat, well monitored by attentive and friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent, table service was quick and bespoke and plentiful. Evening menu had a great choice and cooked exactly to specifications - thank you chefs. A mention for Celine, who engaged in and took the banter from the golf pair, such a breath of fresh air after the dismal Covid environment for the last 7 months. Also David for all his information about the surrounding places to visit and his time to take interest and care in us. A wonderful 3 days and will definitely come back for another visit. Keep it up Nailcote staff you were all great, and we felt Covid safe.

  Lovely stay

  We had seen the excellent reviews and they proved to be correct. We received a lovely welcome from a young lady and proceeded to the bar where she organised really good sandwiches and gin and tonics. We were a couple of hours early but she offered to see if our room was ready and it was. Golf was great in the afternoon and although there was a bit of queuing initially it soon improved. Dinner was superb with my wife's fish outstanding. My cauliflour soup was as good as it gets and my pork loin was probably the best I've ever had. The chef really knows how to cook unlike a gastropub in Kenilworth where the food was average. The waiting staff and manager also were so helpful. Everything was well organised for the covid issues with plenty of space everywhere. Our room was spotless and a very good size and check-in and out was very quick. So overall it was one of the best places we've stayed at for a very reasonable price.

  Great food

  Very good stay, with lovely room and exceptional food. Bargain at the current prices available. Good Covid management in place. Recommend the scallops and fillet steak and monkfish, in particular. Compliments to the chef!

  Top Notch Break

  We had our monthly weekend away in the Nailcote and it was fantastic. As soon as we saw the hotel we knew it would be good. The reception staff were excellent. Very Covid aware but very friendly. The room was very good. The evening meal in the restaurant was very tasty and the staff were very good. We had breakfast twice, the Saturday was by far the best breakfast we have had in a hotel this year. Sunday was more of a buffet but still very tasty. The staff on both days couldn,t do enough for us to make the whole breakfast experience better. I would 100% recommend the Nailcote.
