  Nice "stop-over" hotel.

  My husband and I was heading south in Sweden and needed a hotel for a single night. This old train station hotel was chosen because of price and location and both was 100% according to expectations. The hotel is more than 100 years old with charm and nice old things. The atmosphere is nice and the young couple owning the hotel is extremely friendly and service minded. We came in the night and check in was done through a telephone call and a key in a key-safe. Worked perfectly. Rooms are basic and clean. All facilities are basic and old but works ok. This is value for money. Breakfast is very nice and Swedish. This is the place if you want to avoid the chain hotels with less personality and want to explore the Swedish style - definitely no bling but a truly authentic building.

  Expect what you pay for

  Stayed here while driving along Inlandsvägen. It's a simple hotel in the old railway station. The standard is basic and in line with the price. It is not a 4 star resort but offered everything I needed: A clean room, flexible check-in and breakfast. Even if you arrive at odd hours weary from driving you can get your room key from a box, just call ahead. My room was bigger than expected, showed some wear but was clean. The breakfast was not stellar but nothing to complain about, definately better than I expected from a budget hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only negative was that the wifi was out of order and there was a weird smell in the hallway. In response to the other negative reviews, they either paid way to much or expected more than the hotel ever claimed to deliver. My room cost SEK 550 for one night. I would stay here again if I needed a room in this area again.

  Never again

  All the hotels in Mora were fully booked when we arrived late at night, so this Orsa Stadshotell was the nearest hotel available. Only because we needed a bed to sleep in, we had to choose this hotel. But never again. I wish I had read others reviews before we went into the hotel. Bargained the price from 1295,- to 995,- SEK, and still think that was too much.

  Preciosa estación hecha hotel

  Llegamos tarde pero nos enviaron por correo todas las claves para acceder. Muy buena habitación con ropa de cama muy buena. Muy buen acceso desde la carretera. Silencioso y acogedor, repetiríamos si estuviéramos por la zona. Desayuno correcto

  What is happening with Orsa? The town lacks of love . And when we visit it is Orsayra and some candyseller selling chocolate cigarettes in year 2017???? Hopefully Orsa is getting better next year
