  A respite after long days!

  The Bilm had excellent food, breakfast included, and a pretty decent Little bar. What was a most pleasant surprise were the extras, a tea tray with fruit and cheese one afternoon when I was ill, the sauna, steam and indoor pool, the gorgeous grounds and sweet staff! I rented the plush robes for my two travel buddies and me, and that was one small expense that made it feel like coming home each night of our week in Hannover! The weather was cold, rainy and dreary....the abundance of flowering bulbs and blossoms on the grounds definitely made our stay more cheerful!

  A bit on the pricy side

  Had a meeting nearby so this was the obvious choice. Came in around nine, had an easy check-in, went to the restaurant and had a meal. Good food, but not great Room and toilet were both small and noisy. No air con or fan and it was a nice warm September night, so had to open the window full up, even though I was on the ground floor and people were sitting right out front.

  Good option when in Hannover for business

  Charming little hotel. (your room key opens the front door at night, as there is no staff at the front desk after about 10 PM.). A 20 minute ride to the Congress facitlities. Staff is friendly although anything "out of the ordinary" throws them for a loop. (You get one free apple juice, and a couple of beers in the hotel minibar, but they refused to exchange one of the beers for another apple juice). Quiet, and set in a beautiful little village.

  Mediocre "candle light Dinner" - under bright restaurent illumination - all but romantic

  "MyDays" sold a romantic candle light dinner. Leave alone that "MyDays" had advertised this dinner for 2 with big splash and a lot of electronic cloud, the realization was everything else than a good, romantic dinner. Apparently quite a number of guest had come for some kind of special dinner - the large restaurant offered iron wired chairs, imprecise waitresses (despite prior exclusion of allergenic food - exactly the allergenic parts were presented), bad planning by the restaurant (printed dinner menus arrived after the first course), mediocre wine selection (most likely rather cheap brands), meat served was in 2 out of three pieces served of dry and hard quality. Three candles could not instill a romantic atmosphere when the entire restaurant was brightly lid. Either "MyDay" had no idea of what they were selling or Park-Hotel Bilm had no idea how to produce a romantic atmosphere, and worse seem to neither manage customer's orders nor produce a main course of reasonable meat quality and taste. All accompanied by wine ordered from the list and served in a carafe - the quality of which I recommend for cooking.

  What a dump!

  Just checked in for two days of business meetings. Room is as small as a monks in a monestary. Last time I stayed in a room this small was in Japan in the late 80s! Room is renovated - but totally filthy. Dark brown shag carpet and you see the dirt easily. Bathroom not clean. On the same floor they are in the process of renovating half of the rooms. Construction site filth everywhere!
