  Good hotel

  - Lovely hotel - Good food - Very Good breakfast - Big Clean Pool Area - Big Garden areas - Tennis Court - Sweet staff This is the Second Time We stay at Villa Potenziani but not the last time. We have stay in most 5-6 Stars hotels mordern and originals and We Think that this hotel is an absolut perle.

  Downton Abbey flair Italian style

  If you like creaking wood floors and 18th century flair, this is your place. This former hunting villa of the Piotenziani family is in the safe hands of an elder couple who runs it magnificently. We had the Junior suite and were enthusiastic about the room, the hotel, the surrounding park, and the service.

  Wedding crashers

  Lovely location, serviceminded staff. We ended up as the only hotel guests in the middle of an Italian beautiful wedding. We enjoyed the life music in the beautiful garden. Nice spacious room with a beautiful view. Bed was nice. Only minus was that the restaurant was closed due to the wedding and we had to take a taxi into town. And that the hotel change 2 for a pool towel.. The receptionist was nice and spoke good English, explaining us the Italian wedding traditions and also booked us a restaurant in town. The rooftop terrace for the breakfast needs some remodeling/cozyness - it could be beautiful up there as the view is spectacular.

  Great value in old palazzo

  Winding to the top of the San Mauro hill, you will find a great palazzio to stay. Well kept gardens, a pool, somptuous entrance and halls and lovely dinig al fresco. The restaurant is really to be recommended with an interesting menu and well priced wines. Breakfast on the top of the hotel is lovely and relaxing with a great view. The rooms are large and high with intricate shutters. The only discomfort is a clumsily mounted shower head, so one has to half sit on one's hunches.

  Lovely venue, a little dated, but the room was drafty and the bed was HARD

  My good friends stayed at this hotel whilst visiting us in Rieti. We felt the place was a bit drafty but elegant overall. It is an older Hotel. The grounds and the view are spectacular. The food pretty good. We have eaten there many times with family and friends and have attended many events at this hotel. It is best as a venue for those type occasions, but the rooms are smallish and the a bit cold. The beds were too hard for comfort and the mattress was definitely and older style with no pillow top or cushioning for pressure point relief. I like a hard mattress, but with some cushioning on top. When we asked to change rooms as they were not full, they proprietor coldly told us that every room had the same mattress. So if you want a comfortable bed, I would find a different accomodation.
