  Poor hotel

  This is written in case someone else is tempted to book there. It is a surprise to find the hotel on booking.com as so poor. Poor state of repair. Lacked mosquito nets in rooms. Breakfast not good especially on our first day. Food ordered by friends was not what they ordered and they tell me was poor. Wifi off and they did not seemed to care and apart from the manager reception staff had a poor attitude Take my advice please don't stay there. I have travelled much in East Africa for years and worst hotel especially related to cost is have stayed in for a long time.

  Good stay

  Not great noise control. Comfortable rooms with good nets, friendly service, and free breakfast buffet. Hot shower, suite was spacious, twin rooms were satisfactory. Wifi was working fine. I will go back again.

  you reach Mbarara town late and you are looking for a place to sleep.. and you dnt mind an average place. Then u can check in Pelikan. its near the night clubs so you wont need transport back home. This becomes a disadvantage when you want to sleep, the noise from the night clubs becomes unbearable. the rooms are basic.. the showers are just bearable. no tvs in the rooms as advertised,. Breakfast got finished quickly the week i was there.

  Don't book online!

  It is ok hotel. Has nice big towel, clean room and nice location. But I recommend you to pay at hotel in cash. Not credit card pay online. when we arrived at the hotel, reception told us there is no reservation. My friend showed confirmed Email from the hotel but she was not able to speak or read English. And not so helpful rather rude. And she did not know which room we booked and having problem to lead us to right room. In the morning, my friend had to call Booking.com to make sure. After couple calls, we finally clear it out. Fortunately, we were not so rush but if we were this could be very annoyed. What happened was, the agency between booking.com and payment received money from us but didnt send conformation Email to the hotel. (but my friend had received confirmed Email from hotel.) Anyway, hotel was not bad but staff was not nice at all and not recommended book online.

  Poor services

  The hotel looked great from the outside. The receptionis,Joseph was very friendly and helpful.but the rooms need serious renovation.the shower had no hot water and the girls in the restaurant looked like they were forced to work that day.atleast if they can't remember the orders, they should smile for customers.
