  Good Location

  Great location for ferry and being able to grab a meal. Only negative was the corridors stunk of cigarettes and the rooms are dated. Apart from this at 34 a night you cant complain. We normally book Novotel etc though would book again.

  Cheap

  We paid 25 Euros for our night here so weren't expecting much and that's what we got! The room (007) was cold when we entered but once I found the heater under the desk and turned it on, it warmed up very fast. The sheets were clean as was the bathroom, it was a smoking room which annoyed me as I was travelling with my daughter, but we were too tired to ask for a room change. The bunkbed was rusty and wobbly and we did at one point get a terrible smell in the room after the person above used their bathroom but on the whole it was ok. Except we couldn't use the internet in the morning, for some reason the system no longer recognised my details. The reception staff are lovely and really helpful and it is convenient for the port.

  Overnight

  Very basic lot's of noise through the night. No extra pillows as the machine was broken and they had no pillow cases. The room smelt of smoke and was cold you also couldn't see the television as it was mounted around the corner from the bed.

  Low-cost hotel, convenient for ferry but no frills and needing a little renovation

  Tried to book 2 rooms at the same time but there was some computer problem and only 1 room got booked. I had to book the 2nd room in a 2nd transaction and luckily this went through, as the first room was non-refundable. For GBP 35 for a double room + breakfast, expectations can't be too high. However, one room was draughty around the window as though the seal were damaged or missing and as a storm went over that night the room felt a little cool. The bed linen was clean and perfectly OK. The other room didn't appear to have been vacuumed. It didn't have any soap. Breakfast buffet limited. No croissants in spite of being in France! The paintwork needed re-doing in parts.

  Dont expect too much

  The room was cheap and clean but very run down. Couldnt open the bathroom door very wide because it caught on the bed. Couldnt close the bathroom door because the bottom of the frame was rusted. The bed was clean but not very comfortable on the thin mattress. Had to hold the shower because there was no fitting on the wall also no shower gel in the dispenser.
