UnderwhelmingThe rooms were functional and clean (see guest pictures), and the evening manager was nice. If you're going to stay here I would recommend the lux room as the standard doesn't have any views. There was a mistake with booking.com for the breakfasts, and rather than just let it go the owner insisted we talk to booking.com and made a hassle out of something that could have just been let go - which made the stay not as pleasant. I would look elsewhere for a hotel in urbino.

Great Location but very average hotelBe aware that being in the centre of Urbino the hotel is up a narrow, very steep side street which is extremely difficult to get a car up (I didn't even try). This means you have to haul your luggage about 50m up the hill to the hotel. Free car parking (Viale Buozzi - white marked spaces) is around a 5 to 10min walk away. Room was clean and looked newly decorated but no safe as advertised and the breakfast was very poor.

Lovely hotel feels like homeThe first time I went to Urbino and wanted to stay at a hotel in the middle of the city we finally chose this hotel and it was really cool in the middle of Urbino city which was very beautiful looking from the balcony of the room, classic, clean rooms , feels like own home, the service of the hotel staff was very friendly and I heard very beautiful live piano music during stay there. I recommend this is the best hotel in Urbino and I want to come back again soon, Grazie

Wonderful - meraviglioso!Lovely stay. We booked a luxury room and it was spectacular, with a wonderful view of the town and the lovely landscapes around. Very clean and cozy! We initially booked for one night only, but as soon as we saw the room and the view, we asked if the room was available also for the following night, and luckily it was. Friendly staff and the perk (for us) of having the chance to meet a lovely Great Dane, Cesare :) . It is clearly stated that the hotel is pet-friendly, so I dont understand people complaining about his presence.

Great experienceDespite strangely low ratings, this place exceeded our expectation. Truly amazing, one of the best on this trip. Believe me, I do not say this lightly! Of course, we only stayed in a deluxe room, and cannot comment on the other type of rooms. Deluxe room is not cheap - we paid 153 euros for one night - but is well worth it. 1. Amazing view! Truly magical, could not get our eyes of it. Many places in Italy claim great view, not many deliver. This place did! 2. Huge room. Really big. Nicely decorated, convenient, yet has a historic feel. 3. Very central location- right in the middle of town! Yet it was nice and quiet. 4. Decent shower and bath, hot, good water pressure. Few small negatives to mention: 1. Breakfast is decent, but not spectacular. 2. Would not drive there. We parked in underground parking and brought what is necessary for one night. Otherwise maybe painful. Still, the value is amazing, would definitely stay there again!
