  Wow, wow, wow

  Stayed in townhouse for two nights. Super comfy beds in immacutely clean townhouse. Three lovely swimming pools to choose from...secure parking. Restaurant looked good although we did not get opportunity to try it. Amazing facilities...can highly recommend.

  Great for families.

  We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment and it was very large. It only had air con in the living room and not the bedrooms but the bedrooms had fans. The rooms were a bit dusty and the beds were comfortable. The staff were very nice and accommodating. Our two four year olds had a ball in the lagoon style pool. Take insect repellant as we were eaten alive at Rainbow Beach in general. It was disappointing the restaurant was closed on the Saturday night for a wedding and that was the only night we could have eaten there as it is closed Monday and Tuesday in the off peak periods.

  Unfortunate Scam

  We booked in January for this coming Christmas. Out of nowhere I got an email from my booking website (booking.com) that my booking was 'cancelled for free'. I called them to find out why my booking was cancelled? I surely did not cancel it... and while the website said for 'free' they did not mention the $384 deposit they took off me on the day of booking (this was taken off me directly by Rainbow Beach Resort and not the booking website as it was supposed to be 'no payment' until December!). I was told they were shutting down and would likely refund me but I could call them. So I did, and I did and I did.... too many times to count. But they never answer or there is an answering machine voice stating they're too busy before it even rings....To begin with I thought perhaps they were actually shutting down. Until I saw that they still have an operational website with the ability to book and from many other booking websites the ability to do so as well... So it turns out that on booking.com they're shutting down but obviously still taking bookings from other places. I do not know if they are operational anymore - no-one has answered my emails or calls. But booking.com are doing what they can now to try and get my money back... So disappointing when you think you book in advance to ensure a place and they have the nerve to not only cancel that booking but not refund me? ****Other things to note was that I booked in January, sometime in February I go an update that my booking had changed (again without me asking) and it went from 7 people to 6 (we are a family of 6 and I had 7 people only in case my Mum was visiting) luckily she wasn't so I did not need to ask why. Unprofessional none the less**** Beware, because it may happen to you.

  Top spot

  Our friends booked a unit, my wife and I booked a town house, both were great. Clean and well appointed. Our town house was in a bush environment with heaps of parking. Very nice, just planning another trip. A meal voucher with the booking made our meal in the restaurant even better. Not worth going to town when you can eat well and cheap.

  Great location and friendly owner

  One night stop in our truck camper. We had a great site, number four, backed up to the Colorado River and Campground Beach! Great spot, and walk down to the beach and River. Shirley was very friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend the stay here.
