  Hotel muy confortable!

  El Hotel Ramside Hall es muy confortable y limpio, está ubicado en las afueras de Durham. En nuestro caso teníamos régimen de media pensión, el cual es muy recomendable dado que la cena buffet que ofrecen es muy buena y abundante aunque no incluye bebidas. El desayuno es bueno. El único inconveniente es que los cuartos no tienen aire acondicionado y aunque es raro que la temperatura sea muy elevada en verano en esas latitudes, a veces puede darse, como en nuestra ocasión y es molesto dormir con calor. Además sólo te facilitan un acolchado pesado. Hotel recomendable con hermosos jardines

  Lovely afternoon tea

  We visited turning half term for a nice relaxed afternoon tea and were not disappointed. All staff were pleasant and attentive and the surroundings internally and externally were delightful. The sandwiches and cakes were great quality albeit the coffee couldve been a bit hotter. Will return!

  30th birthday

  This is a bit of a tricky one to judge. Firstly we booked the treehouse for my 30th birthday. The website gives you a virtual tour and a layout of the treehouses. It states it can be used as a whole unit or split into 1 suite and 2 bed suite. When we arrived we were disappointed by the room - we had expected the lounge and kitchen facilities. We felt that it was misleading and although our room was nice we were underwhelmed due to the expectation of more. This needs to be crystal clear exactly what facilities are in specific for each price and pictures for each suite or studio please rather than a blanket tour. When we pulled up there were two cars parked in front of our treehouse so no room to park. The gentleman who took us there said to park on the narrow gravel path? Felt guests could be told / more considerate with parking as one car then left at 7. In the room there was no milk!! No hot chocolate? There was a bottle of wine missing from the basket. Fabulous coffee machine. Small fridge. Room was spotless and bathroom is beautiful. Lovely toiletries. Theres a great service whereby you can be collected and dropped between the main hotel and treehouse. The room was so dark, there was no lamp or light near the tv - we needed our torch to check the thermostat and use the kettle. The lighting system is a bit odd too. One of the caps on the hot tub was faulty and squirting water out. We dined in the rib room. We waited 1 hr 15 mins before asking where our food was, the manager was very apologetic and explained it was very busy although people seated after us had their starter and mains before we had eaten anything. Eventually it arrived and when it did it was beautiful. We had the steak and the lamb. As a gesture of good will the desserts were removed from our bill. The food was great but the wait made it very disappointing. We asked at reception about having breakfast in our room but were informed no as it was in the treehouse? However when leaving a member of staff was delivering a foiled breakfast tray to the treehouse next to us!! Very inconsistent. Breakfast at fusion was decent, there was a good variety to choose from. Overall, would we stay at the treehouse again? No. Perhaps in a larger group. I think we would book a suite in the main hotel for return stay. A few simple things that should be corrected.

  Amazing!!

  We stayed in one of the tree houses on the Ramside estate and It was incredible. We have stayed at Ramside Hall a number of times but this stay was something else. As you can see from the photos its built and decorated to the highest of standards. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here! The staff are always so helpful and the spa has great facilities and we always top it off with amazing food from the Fusion restaurant.

  Lovely hotel

  Room was lovely clean and tidy. Room has sky tv, bath tub, shower, hairdryer and all the works. Only thing if I am been critical it is missing is a coffee machine. I just think for the price it would be a nice addition. The room over looks the golf course and the view is beautiful. We decided to make the most of the room and have room service so didnt visit a restaurant. Afternoon tea on arrival was a little disappointing, cutlery was dirty and it felt like it has been plated up for quite some time. Not worth £14.99 per person Evening mean we got it from the fusion restaurant we thought that the positions would be small but they werent. We got far too much food. It was also beautiful. Highly recommend along with the cocktails. We went to the spa the following morning. This was also beautiful. Outside loungers outdated. We also had breakfast in the room the next day. This wasnt much if I am honest. On departure we were given the bill for the room service. I asked to look at the bill something I never usually do but I am glad I did because there was an extra £200 on there for drinks and meal for the steak restaurant.
