  What a disappointment

  My advise is keep driving. This motel is a older motel that has been recently changed to a Rodeway Inn. They still have the temporary banner to prove it. The room was very small, the carpet was filthy but vacuumed. The repairs like the baseboard look as if they were done by a 2 year old. The sink was missing half the porcelain. The grounds are not well kept and the breakfast (haha) was pathetic. It consisted of burnt coffee in a household coffee maker and some sort of stale fruit bar. Oh, they did have packets of instant oatmeal and no hot water. What a joke. Keep driving. Winnemucca and Elko are not that far.

  Wont stay again.

  Were in the area on business and decided to stay here. There was a note hung on the door saying that there was no one in the office and that they would be back shortly. After 15 LONG minutes i honked the horn a few times (it had already been a long day) still no one. I left my wife there and drove around the property. I found a group of people talking/smoking around back. I asked if any of them worked there and a lady said that she did. I told her i would like to check in and FINALLY we were on our way. took a half hour. We booked a suite. room was ok but the remote didn't work. Got an apology, but NO further assistance, Paid WAY to much for this. NO breakfast. Never again.

  Run-down & Dirty :(

  I was part of a motorcycle group spending 1 night in Battle Mountain on our way to South Dakota. This was our first overnight stop, we were extremely tired and dusty dirty from being on the road since 6am. My man goes to check out the room and he immediately comes back to the lobby to let the gal know that the room is dirty; crumbs on floor, hair in tub, etc. She gladly puts us in another room which is no different. So we just moved in and made the best of it. Just from driving up you can tell the place is really run down and dirty. Really hope management steps up and cleans up the place but when rolling into B.M. you don't have many choices so you're stuck staying at a place like this :(

  Better than jail

  If you're into industrial landscape, you'll love it. The view from the room features a huge electrical plant, the ratty rear end of a casino, a cement plant, and a couple acres of asphalt strewn with cigarette butts. Even for Battle Mountain (BM), a gritty mining town, it's pretty sad. The room itself was ok -- good beds, decent furniture, new bath fixtures, etc. Privacy is a weak point, as the window lacks the double curtains usually found in motels. If you open them for light, the maintenance guy working right outside can watch you like TV. The rooms are supposedly non-smoking, but the whole place smells so much like cigarettes that every breath feels like inhaling a Camel. Unless you have biz in BM, you're better off driving a little further to Winnemucca or Elko.

  Good value

  We selected this motel for a reasonable option for a quick option on our trip. We stayed in room 128 which was on the back side which was better for a quieter stay. There was some train noise in the early evening and in the morning,however, we had a good nights sleep.
