    LOUD elementary school group

This is for the "Condominium" part of the hotel only. The normal "hotel" part was probably much better... To keep it short: Staff: Generally friendly and helpful. I speak enough Japanese that we communicated fine, but I got the impression that their English could help non-Japanese speakers. Location: Not great. It's roughly mid-way between Naha and Nago. There isn't much around it, but you can expect a traffic jam almost the entire trip up Route 58 from Naha to Yomitan. It's supposed to be about 40 kms and it took us over 2 hours. It isn't much better going north to Nago. Also, there is generally a traffic jam from turning off of 58 onto 6 to the hotel. While there are a few supermarkets and convenience stores nearby, the "big" things for Okinawa are a good distance of high traffic driving away. Facilities: As others noted, the condominiuum rooms had a bit of a musty smell when you get in, but no biggie. They feel more like cabins than hotel rooms. Chipped paint, signs of wear and tear, etc... The killer was that they don't limit the rooms to tourists. Our first night was spent hearing shouting most of the evening and interrupted sleep. We were on the second floor and thought it was drunk people shouting from the first... We tried to put it behind us, but the second night the same thing happened. Then, around 4 am, doors started slamming continuously. I finally went down to see what was up, only to find elementary school kids wandering in and out of each other's rooms (doors locked "open" so the 30kg door would slam the lock into the frame every time it closed). I walked to the front desk - who was there (to his credit) - and he admitted that it was a school group that had rented the first floor. "No problem though, they're checking out today!". Too late, as we had already lost two nights of sleep. It honestly isn't the worst place I've ever been, but if you can't sleep in a hotel, it's hardly worth any price is.... If you stay here, check to be sure that there are NO school groups staying when you do.

    Nice, Quaint Hotel

This cute hotel is right across from Torii Station's main gate. I had a room on the fourth floor, facing the road. Inside, was a closet with a pull-out rod and ten wooden hangers and slippers that were replaced everyday. As far as toiletries, the hotel offered a bath towel scrub, a razor, toothbrush with toothpaste, q-tips, and shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower. Speaking of shower, the tub was great! Great water pressure, lots of space, and the tub turned into a color-changing jet tub. The bathroom a small bowl sink, heated bidet, and vent. The bathroom was very clear. You can see into the bathroom from the bedroom unless you draw the blinds on the bathroom. The bedroom had two twin beds, a dresser, one chair, a flat-screen TV, lots of lights (plus a light switch for all the lights right next to the bed), split-unit A/C, and a mini-fridge. No clothes iron, though. The breakfast was included. They offered rice, soup, eggs, toast, jelly, jello, bacon, ham, and a large assortment of drinks. Very clean, nice staff. There's not much to do or eat near here, but you can walk a bit to find something to eat. I'd stay here again.

    Filthy by Japanese standards

Pros: good wifi, balcony with partial sea view, Cons: very dirty and probably considered filthy by Japanese standards In Okinawa for a wedding and did not get to choose hotel. This was early May and during a national holiday in Japan so the whole of Okinawa was pretty booked. We ended up staying in the apartment side (all the rooms on the hotel side were booked) at 2-3x normal price. The room has this musty smell. The blanket was covered with dust. Other furniture were dusty as well. I thought turning on the air-conditioner would help but more musty smell and more dust. Lots of people in our party staying here ended up having allergies when in the room (sneezing/coughing). Appalling, really.

    Great for Couples

Beautiful hotel room with 2 person jetted tub and ocean view. Plenty of parking. A short walk to Family Mart, restaurants, and a few bars. Staff was friendly and spoke English. Free Coffee is delicious and available in lobby. Microwave is also available in the lobby (none in the room). Breakfast was good. Basic tv but dvd player and free wifi is available. Free laundry and Orion beer available from vending machine. Noticed it was a bit dusty under and behind furniture when looking for electrical socket, but overall room was very clean and the pillows are so comfy!
