  La atención del personal fue maravillosa. La habitación preciosa y con grandes vistas al lago. La situación es perfecta cerca de todo lo importante. El desayuno muy bueno. En las habitaciones hacía demasiada calor. El wifi es de pago, lo que me parece imperdonable para un hotel de esta categoría.

  Beautiful hotel in a great location

  Visited the hotel for a wedding and the stay was fantastic. We had a lake view room which was stunning. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Breakfast in the morning was great despite the Covid restrictions in place. Good spot to visit both Varenna and other towns as the ferry is close by for a trip to Bellagio.

  Gorgeous hotel

  Beautiful hotel, the front perfectly located on the main town piazza and the back is situated right on the lake, the best of both worlds. The hotel was spotlessly clean and all the staff set very high hygiene standards so we felt very safe. The public areas were beautiful with stunning views. The pool was clean and fresh with towels, gowns and slippers provided. Plenty of sun beds and chairs available to maintain social distancing. Breakfast overlooking the lake was fantastic, everything you need to start the day and it was delicious. All the staff were very friendly, polite and professional, from the reception to the waiters and the room maids. Sweets in our room on our last night and bottles of water for our onward journey were a welcome touch.

  Stunning Lake view from balcony room

  Firstly the location is outstanding, right in the middle of the town centre and easily walking distance to attractions and ferry. I would highly recommend the room with the balcony and lake view - perfect, I just loved sitting out there. Wonderfully they had a jug/tea/coffee in room which I do love. Nothing like a cuppa at the end of the day and with a view like that, it's just perfect to enjoy on the balcony. The rooms were very clean and well appointed, looks like there has been an update in the bathroom over the last few years. The included breakfast was very good and there are loads of choices on the menu - gluten free options too. The breakfast room faces out to the lake , so what a wonderful way to start the day. I really like the welcome letter they provide as it has all the details for breakfast, wi-fi and other handy information. The bed was a little too firm for me which is why I didn't have a super sleep - I do like a firm mattress but this was a little too much for me. I checked out at 11am and had to wait for a 12pm taxi to my train departure, I think as the hotel was pretty much empty, they could have allowed a later checkout for me. I just sat in the lobby for the hour and would have been more comfortable in the room - I think they let themselves down with this point. I did love the interior of the hotel as they have retained many original features such as antique furnishings and wonderfully, the glass in the lobby looks to be original. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and hope to return next year.

  A memorable 10 Year wedding anniversary

  My wife booked us 5 nights at the hotel to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary and what a fantastic time we had. Considering all that is going on in the world at the moment the hotel were perfect in doing what they could to make things seem normal. It was great to see those smiling faces (albeit under masks) but nothing was too much for them. I had organised a few surprises for my wife during our stay and the hotel outdone themselves in helping me make this happen. From breakfast to drinks in the bar to eating in the fantastic Victoria Grill everything was top notch. We had a lake side balcony room which I would highly recommend. Being able to listen to the lapping water from the lake and having a morning coffee in the balcony was something to saviour. I would personally like to thank the hotel and all their staff for an experience we will never forget.
