  Well equipped, well maintained rooms, great service. More firewood was supplied at no extra cost when 1st batch was depleted. Owners very friendly. Quality of sleep was excellent, Barrydale is a very quiet town. Some nice restaurants not far away.

  Lovely stop

  This was a lovely place to stay in barrydale - beautiful pool and garden, comfortable rooms, extremely helpful and responsive host. Was there with friends and the house was great to have a braai abs relax in the garden

  Very nice and clean place to stay it is elderly people friendly they cater for all our needs especially for my 87 year old mother . We would definetly make use of Sterna's service again. Thanks Gerda Nellie and Rina

  Great place and host.

  I truly enjoyed the stay. Friendly host great pool and a wealth of information about the area. They even stacked the fireplace for me. Could easily have stayed some extra days. It is a beautiful area and not a single pothole. Western Cape head and shoulders above the rest of the country.

  Lovely to see at least 1 place that hasn't let covid drag it down. They've maintained and improved standards. It is located in the main street in St Lucia, but there was hardly street noise, even on the weekend; possible because of Covid Parking bay is wide enough so that you can get in and out of your car easily, not like Margate Sands, where you need to be a lithe limbo dancer. Very welcoming and engaging receptionist that added lots of points. And she gave us a little parcel of Angel biscuits for Valentines . Unit is clean, very decent, new lounge suite. Some nice little touches: Clothes hook at entrance, automatic lantern if the lights go off... And they've got aircons whilst Drak sun still hasn't! St Lucia is much too hot and humid to stay at anyplace in Summer without aircons. They give a liquid soap and shampoo whilst drak sun doesn't. BUT, it is and upstairs/downstairs unit, with steep, perilous stairs just looking for an accident. Not for the aged, infirm or anyone unfit and alert. Going up those stairs with bags is treacherous, going down is practically suicidal The isimangolisa game reserve is just 7 minutes away. Apply for a Rhino card if you are going to go more than once. Wild card not valid here, but is at Hluhluwe Umfolosi, which is 45 minutes away. A free bottled water in the fridge. You have to buy drinking water everyday, at the nearby stores, or from the security guard. The tap water is not recommended. Parking is sorta undercover, but porous netting, but very close to unit, just a few steps, not a 5 min walk like Drak Sun. A decent size fridge. Everything worked, never had to call housekeeping, which is a big plus. At Drak Sun I had to phone thrice! If it wasn't for the stairs, I'd recommend it unreservedly; but I still flinch, remembering those stairs.
