  Central location and good room

  Used this hotel for 2 days January 2012. The room size was extra large with king size bed. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was limited in variety but adequate and the room price was very good. The back restaurant is the best for lunch and dinners with a good choice on the menu The only negative comment I could make was that the carpets seemed to need a clean but as it was pouring rain perhaps it was hard for the staff to keep them clean. I will definitely stay again.

  Not so clean

  Carpet and bathroom was not that clean. Looks like a lot of shortcuts done in cleaning. Staff were nice and polite. Problem is they try to speak English without understanding what they are saying. No English channels on TV too. This hotel is mainly for locals.

  Unique hotel

  I thought the hotel was very nice, romantic and just lovely. It is considered a 4 star I would give it 3, but the service is a 4 for sure. The greet you with free fruit to the door and you get a nice breakfast and they give you tickets to afternoon and evening tea. It's a great deal I would recommend it to anyone. The color schemes are the most impressive!

  OK for a couple of nights

  Came from Wuming for a couple of nights do we could do some shopping. Need a taxi to the centre for shopping but not expensive. A 4* hotel but by UK standards more like a good 3*.. Had a large room on the 25th floor but bathroom/ shower room not ideal with washbasins actually in the bedroom. But room large and comfortable. Nice breakfast. Carpets look clean enough to me. Rest of room clean.

  Clean, comfortable room with good amenities

  I chose this hotel on the basis of a list I was sent by the agency with which I was going to be working during this assignment; so, the choice was almost random, as it was the only one of the choices I was given that I could find listed on Trip Advisor. Certainly, the best feature of the hotel was the full breakfast included in the price of the room. The breakfast buffet was expansive and included a wide variety of Chinese noodle and vegetable dishes, fruit, yogurt, bread and pastries. One could even get western toast and jam, if absolutely necessary. Juice, coffee (instant) and tea were all available. Although one sometimes has to ask for western utensils (which weren't necessarily on display but available on request), the generosity and diversity of of the breakfast was worthy of note. While the hotel staff seemed eager to help, the greatest challenge was that the desk reception staff (and most staff in the dining room) did not speak English. As I speak no Chinese, this limitation was serious. Even getting the Receptionist to find someone who could speak English was a challenge. However, I eventually spoke with an Assistant Manager who did speak English, and when I pointed out the difficulties of not having a person with English language skills on the front desk and the fact that I wanted to recommend the hotel for the other six international consultants on the same project, he promised to try to rectify this limitation for prospective English-speaking guests. It is probably worthwhile to check whether this promise has been kept if one is planning to stay here. The hotel was above average in terms of room quality, its cleanliness, and the amenities provided in the room and bathroom. It was quiet, and since my room was located on a higher floor in the hotel, I had an expansive view of the city, although, since it was rainy and cloudy the entire time I was there, the view was glum. However, the wifi on the upper floors, although theoretically free and available, was sometimes questionable. Since I was often up in the middle of the night, the wifi issue did not really affect me very often. I intend to stay here on future visits to Nanning, both because of its quality and services, and because it is close to the location where my business meetings will be held.
