The hot springs were crystal clear and it was really beautiful. The special features of the building and the room were not felt much. However, I was able to feel the wonderful feeling of the staff who worked in the building, clean buildings, clean rooms, and "O MO TE NA SHI". I was surprised. It was awfully beautiful, because the hot spring water in the hot spring was very transparent. I thought this beautiful hot water and bathtub for the first time.

An unusual excellentI rarely attach the label excellent to reviews. However this place really earned it. The place itself is beautiful with great views out over the village of Ito and the sea beyond. The pickup from the train went exactly as advertised, we were met by a man with a green flag and the ryokan name on his banner. We left Ito at exactly the half hour and arrived at the ryokan only 8 minutes later. The reception by staff was flawless and made us all feel like we were the only guests there. The rooms ( on the 6th floor) were traditional and, after the ladies putting on their chosen house gowns and me, my allocated one, we went to the onsen. The mens was was excellent, like an infinity pool. There are indoor and outdoor pools and you can move freely between them while always being gender separated. The meal was served in our room and was excellent. I am not adventurous with food but the eight course dinner was terrific. The beds (futons with Doonas) were made up for us and were very comfortable. There is a choice if three types of pillows from the normal rock-like Japanese pillows through feather pillows to contoured ones. Another onsen in the morning followed by breakfast (western style) and then off on the shuttle to Tokyo. This was a brilliant respite from the hustle of the cities and I would recommend it to all.

Our best ryokan experience in Japan! It was just perfect, from the staff hospitality and kindness, the wonderfull cooked dinner and breakfast, to the outstanding view from our room and the comfort of the private baths, with its wonderfull cosmetic products. I strongly recomend and, in a revisit to Japan, it will be a must stop again! We already miss those who took care of us like we were family. It was unforgetable! Thank you so much!

Wonderful!Loved it. This is a great hotel. It is ryokan style and will allow you to relax and enjoy yourself. The building feels brand new. It is beautiful and has a classic Japanese feel to it, just new. Everything is beautiful and clean. The service is awesome, attentive from beginning to end. The room is beautiful, Japanese tatami style. We ate our dinner and breakfast in the room. Both meals were amazing. The public bath is really great and they have some private ones to use if you wish. This hotel is really amazing for people who just want to relax. I highly recommend this hotel. Not many kids around, but some. We had our six-year-old and she loved it. Ito is a very nice stop in Izu. Beautiful little town.

Amazing Experience!Loved our visit to this ryokan. It was our first time staying in one and we really enjoyed it. The staff were very helpful and explained things well in English. The food served in room was amazing and the onsens so relaxing. You can also reserve a private onsen for a small fee if you want to go as a couple or family. Highly suggest this for anyone with tattoos as well as they're not permitted in the regular onsens.
