  inhuman treatment

  This awful place does not deserve the stars it holds, it should not even have authorization for public. I am 39 weeks pregnant and last night of July 27 at 23:25 for an error in a card, in this hotel they did not let us access the room we had been using for 3 nights (and that we had booked for 4 nights ), they also denied us access to our personal belongings (they didn't even let us take the computer so my husband could solve the problem). This was the facts: My husband and I stayed at the hotel on July 24 of this year and made a reservation for 4 nights. Last night of July 27 at 23:20 when we wanted to enter our room 1421 none of the two cards we had worked. When my husband went down to reception to see what was happening, the receptionist told him that there was a problem with the card he had registered and that we could not enter the room. Because it was almost midnight, the first thing my husband told the receptionist was to take his personal identification documents and that the next morning he would resolve the situation. The receptionist did not accept this variant and said that she would not take anything. My husband then asked him to let him take his computer in the room to solve the problem and make the payment. The receptionist spoke by phone with a superior and did not accept this option either. My husband saw no other solution than to call the police asking for help. When the officers arrived at the hotel and knew what had happened, the first thing they asked the receptionist was if she had any personal problems with us, because her attitude had no legal basis (we had the right to pay the next day without being questioned; in addition, a citizen cannot be deprived of his personal belongings in that way, and above all by denying him the option to resolve the situation). The receptionist claimed that she was alone and could not do alone the hotel reception. Upon hearing this response, the officers demanded that the receptionist accompany my husband to the room to find his computer. When my husband went down with the computer, in less than 3 minutes we have solved the problem with the accounts and made the payment. In the end, we were able to enter the room at 0:51 because of a problem that could have been solved in 3 minutes.

  Amazing hotel

  This hotel is approximatley 20 min with S-bahn from central Berlin. The hotel is just opposite the trainstation. Out room was on the 14th floor with a really nice view! Very good breakfast in the panorama-restaurang. Staff is nice and friendly.

  Nice hotel, easy city acces

  Stayed here for a weekend trip to Berlin. The room was clean, spacious and comfy. Staff were very friendly. This hotel is across the road from the train station trains to the city centre come very regularly making very easy access to the city centre. We particularly noted the sky restaurant at the top of the hotel - small menu but amazing food, and great view. We visited this restaurant twice out of three evening spent and were disappointed on the third that the restaurant was shut for a private event. Would return here in future Berlin trips.

  Great restaurant in the hotel

  This hotel suited our needs perfectly. The reception staff were helpful and the room was a good size and clean and tidy. The beds are very comfy. The restaurant on the top floor is lovely both for breakfast and dinner and the staff there are excellent also. My only constructive comments were that there was no toilets on the ground floor which would be helpful if you arrive early and cant check in. There is also nowhere to eat out in the near vicinity that we could see and therefore had we stayed longer we would have had to get a taxi to eat out (although I would happily have eaten in the hotel restaurant for a second night had it been required)

  Was booked here but had to cancel. Full refund!

  I did not make it to the hotel. I was booked there this week to attend ITB BERLIN event but due to Corona virus madness the event was called off and I had to cancel my reservation last minute. Guess what ?...Full refund already back on credit card. A1 treatment. My next trip to Berlin, I know where I am staying: Select Hotel Berlin Spiegelturm
