  Average, Disappointing!

  We stayed two nights at Silver Palms Guesthouse which is situated in the East of Pretoria in a high-end secure golf estate. We arrived at the property with no one to receive us, after a while the cleaning lady allowed us to take occupancy of our room, with the owners daughter arriving later that evening to assist us with the check in process. We were provided with the family room, which can sleep a family of 4. In the room you have a single bathroom with a small kitchenette, and basic amenities for coffee & tea. Breakfast options are very limited, but they were able to cater for my wife who is vegetarian. Parking is a challenge and guests tend to park one another in. Owners never came to welcome us, or extended any greetings during our stay. Upon checking out there was no one available to assist, so the owners granddaughter helped with the check-out process. Overall not a great experience & will not opt to return, owners were not very friendly (even though we saw them a number of times) we really did not get the South African hospitality we received at other B&Bs across the country. Disappointing for a 4*, in a such a beautiful location.

  Excellent with personal touch

  We had a great stay and appreciated the quality of the furnishings, together with the personal touch added by the receptionist. Strongly recommended for business or pleasure..... Indoor pool was different

  A home Near home

  had a first class weekend at Silver Palms during a friends wedding at a venue not far off ! the guest house is very centrally located and professionally run. Rooms and bathroom very spacious and well ventilated and the grounds are fabulous . I would recommend it for family, business or just to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city .

  Silver Palms

  Quiet setting and very well organised. Unfortunately no Dining area. The reception was well organised, seeing that this is in a security complex. Upon leaving the complex, the owner handed us a card to use at the gate.

  Our stay at Silver Palms was very enjoyable

  The room was excellent. Very comfortable and very well equipped. We were met by a member of staff on our arrival and shown to our room and contacted by Pieter on several occasions to enquire if everything was to our satisfaction. I would stay at Silver Palms again and would recommend it to anyone who needs guest house accommodation at Silver Lakes. We were pleasantly surprised that breakfast in our room was included as this wasnt advertised when we booked.
