Great familie holidayThis was our second time in a Kinderhotel. We loved it ( again). Everything is taken care of, you do not need to think about a thing. We stayed in the Minnie Mouse superior family room. Clean, spacious, modern. Food choice was excellent although I personally would have liked a bigger choice in vegetables. Childs club was big fun but a bit chaotic..outside area and seealm were great and staff is super sweet. We highly recommend.

A relaxing Skiing Holiday with the Kids+ Modern, comfortable, hotel that feels like a home away from home + Super friendly staff happy to accommodate requests + Well organised schedule of meals, skiing, spa and kids club + Luxury spa + All of the hotel is unbelievable clean + Fun kids club with many activities and soft play + Great skiing instructors with practice slope just across the hotel My only suggestion: - The 10 minute skiing break for the little children on the practice slope should be outside, on the slope itself, or outside/inside the Seaalm restaurant, not in the dark and very warm hut with no lighting at the top of the slope. Parents should also be given the option to take the little ones out for a break at this point to give them a snack. - The Kids Club should register everyone coming in or out, including parents just playing with their children. Overall, the break was relaxing and we came back re-energised as a family, ready to go again next year.

Another fantastic tripCards on the table; we really, really like this place! This was our 9th visit and we have a 10th to come next year. We have visited 7 times for skiing and twice in the summer. It is superb in the winter but arguably even better in the summer. We have a real holiday and the kids absolutely love the place, even our 13 year old. So what makes it so good? Superb staff, wonderful setting right at the foot of the slopes, clean and decent rooms, lovely guests, good skiing(albeit a small area but don't be fooled, there is more than meets the eye if you hire a ski teacher/guide), great ski school, wonderful and plentiful food, nice pool/spa area, sizeable and fun kids club. The Seealm provides an escape of sorts and is a wonderful Tyrolean Bar/restaurant. There is lots of cross-country skiing too and horse riding in both summer and winter. For little ones learning to ski, the hotel has a small slope right next door which works brilliantly. All our 3 kids have learnt there and they make a hard job when theuy are little fun and the kids progress so quickly through the ski school's hard work. The kids (and parents too) ski races and presenatations at the end of the week are amazing; think cowbells, cheering, commentary over loudspeakers, anthems at the awards!! Summer offers lots more for all the family and the bathing lake is wonderful. In short, get yourself a room and go in both summer and winter.

Second visit - still amazingWe stayed here for a week during February half term in a wonderful Mickey Superior room. It is a home from home. My kids enjoyed the ski school with their teacher, Hans, and the adults ski guiding is valuable to help you brush up on your skills or find your way around the mountain. The food was just as wonderful as ever and our waitresses, especially Marina make our stay so much more personal. My children have requested we come back again so 2022 it will be.

Amazing!!!We had a wonderful ski week with the whole family. The hotel has great facilities and food. Just walking distance from the ski lifts. The ski program is very well organized with ski lessons for kids 4hs a day lunch and snack after ski, ending the week with a mini race for each group with prizes for all. My husband and I even had time for us to go skiing together or get some spa treatments or gym. Thank you we will definitely recommend it and visit again this wonderful hotel.

Fabulous hotel and a great stayStayed here for 4 days in July for a family holiday. The hotel is well located, has lots of amazing facilities and the best is their team of employees who are always eager to help and assist. Always smiling faces be it at the reception, or the food service, every single of their employee was courteous and super friendly. A holiday in Austria would be incomplete if you don't include a few days at this hotel!

Family friendly Achensee baseWe spent a week here in early June 2022. The staff are very kind, friendly and helpful. Entertainment for the kids is well organized and done lovingly and creatively. Food is excellent and almost too much. Shame though that they only offer full board as one wants to explore and hike the area so we often paid for a lunch we did not have. We did enjoy the little pond and the field with nice views of the mountains. The whole Achensee area is very picturesque and a great place to base yourself. We also liked our family room - spacious and modern! What could be improved: the spa area is all downstairs and indoors so has little natural light and felt a bit claustrophobic. The hotel itself must have been built in stages so seems a bit disjointed. The painting on the outside looks antiquated (1980s here we come) and gives a rather unappealing first impression. As stated above, they should not insist on full board only for guests who want to be active and away from the hotel during the day. After all, this place is not cheap. Would come again all in all, great base and very family friendly.

Very happy repeat visitorsThis is not our first trip to the Sporthotel Achensee, nor our first review, but as we have been coming for so long, it felt like a good idea to share our experiences over the years again. Our children love coming here, so we have made many repeat visits, for summer and ski holidays. The hotel is comfortable and relaxing, the food and wine is excellent, the kids club offers a range of activities from babies to teenagers, the spa is fantastic and the ski school is convenient and fun for the children. My children have been in shows in the purpose-built theatre, taken part in the end of week ski races (which we now have at home on film with full commentaries), designed and raced ducks down the mountain stream, spent hours playing in the outdoor mini lake, played hide and seek in the dark at kids club (after graduating from the baby room with its two-storey play house) and started to love walking in the mountains. What really makes the hotel stand out for our whole family is the wonderful staff. They go out of their way to make sure that guests of all ages have brilliant holidays. The kids club staff are unfailingly great with the children, but so are all the other staff; we can relax knowing we are in a genuinely child friendly environment. One of my children has additional needs and this has always been well understood and adjustments made if needed - I never thought we would see them up on a stage or skiing. We speak very little German but this has never been an issue at all. There are always familiar faces and when the odd crises has arisen we have experienced kind helpfulness. My ten year old has asked me to add that he would give this hotel ten stars if he could!

Fantastic ski school but we had no snow on the easier runsThis is a perfect hotel for families and we were impressed with all the staff we had interaction with. The food was good and plentiful with a variety of dishes every day. The ski school was amazing and the children were taught well and enjoyed every single session. Our one slight disappointment was that any cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate was extra outside of breakfast. That just took the rating down for us when in comparison with other 4 or 5 star hotels that we have stayed in.
