  Like being in a time warp. I understand and take account of other countries, customs and style but this hotel didn't live up to my expectations. The room itself was okay, spacious, clean and a good bathroom. But this is a given for a four star hotel. The mattress was old and uncomfortable, the reception area dark and dingy. A tiny bar area that was not appealing and couldn't even get water at 10pm, had to get housekeeping to get it instead. Another open seating area more like a doctors sugery in terms of layout and ambience. Breakfast was local produce and style and the attempt at European failed. Again I understand I was in Kazan but a four star international hotel should be able to provide some muesli at least. Staff were pleasant enough but spoke only a tiny bit of english, this didn't detract at all though and we managed to get a taxi etc with their help, which was great.

  Value for Money for Business Travellers

  It was not easy stay through. I was staying at this property from June 23 through July 4. The initial three days were hell as I was alloted room in 8th Fl. Beware, the elevator travels through 7th floor only and this room was in 8th floor. You had to carry your luggage about 18 steep steps. You might think this is one time only and hence I went inside my room and it looked neat. But, the problems started peeping out from next day morning. There was no bath tub and not all ameneties you normally found in a hotel were available at this room. I suggested to my office to change my room as the reception guy did not hear my request properly. It took about three nights to change the room finally and I was alloted a room in the 4th Fl. It was magnificent change compared to my 8th fl room. Since then, I had enjoyed my stay and it was comfortable.

  Terrible hotel

  Very poor breakfast. Suddenly I was charged for late check-out, despite it should be "free" according to "special offer". Far from center and famous sights. Not polite staff. Not recommend to stay. There are much better hotels around

  Muy Sucio y viejo

  Muy sucio y viejo,la moqueta sucia y con mucho polvo, no funcionó agua caliente, muchos desperfectos. No parece un hotel de cuatro estrellas, es como un hostal.La ubicación lejos del centro. No volvería.

  Good Value 3-Star Hotel

  I stayed here for one night in September. Not quite a 4-star hotel as advertised, as there are no amenities. However, it is a good value for a 3-star hotel, in a location near the downtown core. The hotel rooms are looking a bit worn, but the rooms are very clean, the bed is comfortable and the room was quiet. Front end staff were courteous and very helpful in assisting me in figuring out my future travel arrangements. Breakfast buffet was OK, lots of Russian items on the menu. There are not many restaurants nearby, however, the one I visited, New Kitchen, was very good. Similarly, there is a good coffee shop across the Street (Surfs Coffee).
