  Perfect place to stay for a concert at the Calvin Theater.

  Really enjoyed our overnight stay here. It's across the street from the Calvin Theater and walking distance to all of downtown. Our room was charming, quiet and well appointed. Staff was beyond helpful and welcoming. Had a late night drink and a friendly chat with the bartender in Wiggins Tavern after our show at the Calvin, and enjoyed the serviceable continental breakfast in the Coolidge Park Cafe the next morning. I do not have one complaint about this place, and hope I have the opportunity to stay here again.

  Great Weekend Getaway

  We had a great two night stay in one of the King Balcony rooms. The hotel's staff was great, in particular the Manager Jeff whose recommendation of the Storrowtown Tavern in West Springfield was exactly what we were looking for. The hotel itself is charming and convenient to both downtown Northampton on foot or the entire Pioneer Valley by car. I do wish the room had a microwave though since we ended up ordering in from the local restaurants (very limited indoor dining in town now) and having leftovers. Also the carrot cake from the Coolidge Park Cafe was great.

  Best location

  We wanted to stay in the center of town and we certainly achieved that. The staff was friendly and efficient, as with an older hotel the walls were thin and rooms were small.Small bathroom but charming decor in room & common areas - & The plus of a small room is efficient air conditioning.(though not quiet) very comfortable bed, free parking and walkable to all Northampton has to offer !

  Halloween stay

  We stayed here Halloween night because were looking to move into the area and wanted to scout it out. First impression of the room I was thrilled because based off of other reviews I was nervous. We booked a junior king suite because we wanted to have a private balcony and not shared with two other rooms like the other balconys I really thought it was absolutely beautiful as my attached pictures show, the hotel was funky and I loved the decor, but I wouldnt stay again. Heres why - The bed was firm - very firm so it didnt adapt much to the shape of your body We both woke up in horrible pain and had to continually rotate all night to try to sleep not in pain (quick note here Im 30 not 80) That really was the biggest problem but since youre coming to a hotel for a bed it was definitely a big one Our other issue was the tv had cable but it seemed like it was bad service it cut in and out constantly and then would make this loud noise and then go back to programming and this continued anywhere from 10-20 mins apart Covid wise people staff was all wearing masks and our remote came in a sealed plastic bag and our room seemed clean Its really too bad because when we first got in room we decide we would make this stay a yearly thing and we were thinking what a great place for people visiting us to stay Perhaps in the future if they get new beds / matteress we will try again

  I agree with every negative review!

  Horrific, scary 2 experiences here including the breaking down of my door when I slept one hour over checkout time (And they didnt need the room and they have my credit card duh!) if Bowie or anyone famous stayed here ever as they advertise, believe me they werent pleased. Its a worn out, crappy food, rude place still entitled feeling because they look goof only from the outside and theyre right in the 4 block city of noho (and noho is lovely...lived there 34 years) theres delany house right up the road 10 min in a beautiful locale of u want that sort of thing and a new one in Amherst. Cant comment on lord Jeff ( the older b & b) or the new autumn inn (Elbert)tho the old owners were very nice.
