The Ardvasar Hotel was built in the early 1800's making it one of the oldest hotels on Skye. Situated in the beautiful 'Garden of Skye' overlooking the Sound of Sleat and the magnificent Knoydart Mountains beyond. The hotel is only 800 metres from Armadale, here the ferry from Mallaig brings you 'Over the sea to Skye'. Many of our rooms have magnificent sea views. All rooms have been recently renovated offering a high standard of accommodation. All our rooms have ensuite bath and shower. The Ardvasar Hotel is renowned for its food. We offer the highest quality of fresh ingredients. Fresh fish is landed daily, including fresh salmon, crab, scallops and lobster. Local Venison and finest Aberdeen Angus beef also feature on our menu.

    Perfecto para el ferry

    Visitamos por libre y sin reserva la Isla de Skye. Quisimos llegar a Ardvasar para hacer noche y coger el ferry al dia siguiente. Sólo encontramos este hotel y por suerte había habitación. Trato muy correcto y un perro muy gracioso. Precio bastante elevado. Pagas el hecho de estar a 2 minutos del ferry. En general, poca limpieza. Mucho polvo y olor a humedad. Habitación muy amplia con salita de estar. Comida muy cara. Un bar bastante chulo. Entorno genial! De encanto. Pero sin nada de ambiente. En invierno a les 15:30 no hay nada y ya oscurece. Pero guardo buen recuerdo y repetiría!

    By far the most attractive and friendly pub we found on Skye with an attractive location, great character and wonderful staff who made us feel very welcome, if you enjoy your ales the also a great selection.

    great location, food good with resonable prices, room was excellent and spacey , car oark at the side a bit rough but safe. the covid rules were adhered to. staff very friendly and helpful. check in and out extremly easy

    Friendly, from start to finish

    Stayed 2 nights and it wasn't enough. Our room was big, clean and very comfortable. With views across the water towards mallaig. We were made to feel at home, and safe with all sensible precautions against covid. Staff couldn't do enough and our Staffie, Skye, loved being centre of attention. Will be back.

    Great Stay

    Great location looking out to sea and with sheep in the field. Staff were very welcoming and locals were very friendly. We had a great room, number 1, pleasant surprise how large and comfortable it was. Also had dinner which was excellent quality and again service was great. Would recommend highly and would certainly re-visit. Thank you.
