  A romantic getaway

  This hotel is charming - comfortable rooms with modern bathrooms. The views are great. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food is very good. Bar is open most of the day. Town centre is an easy walk, but the hotel is in a very quiet place.

  Superb accommodation and service.

  We had a confirmed reservation at Scalloway hotel which they did not honour. The Kveldsro was recommended to us by the lady at Scalloway museum. On arrival we were most impressed by both the hotel and the staff. Mark and Jean made us most welcome and showed us to a very nice room with sea views. We stayed for three days. The food and service were first class. Jean is an absolute diamond, all our needs were met. We will be going back next year.

  The view!!

  Although the decor could do with updating, it was spotless. The staff were all amazing, very helpful. From my room I looked out over the water & could even see Jimmy Perez's house. Bathroom had a stunning and brand new walk in rainfall shower, helpful as I'm disabled.

  A very enjoyable relaxing stay at the Kveldsro Hotel

  Comfortable clean & warm room, small but adequate, new good bathroom. Our room had a large window with a great view. Very good meals, full breakfast was great. I notified the hotel before arrival that I have some food intolerances, the staff were very helpful to accommodate my needs. Staff were excellent, very friendly & efficient. Situated in a quiet peaceful location in the old town area. The Hotel has a lot of stairs and corridors to their rooms, quaint but not the best if you have mobility issues. Really enjoyed out stay. Have stayed before and will again.

  Wonderful relaxing stay

  Our reception on arrival was wonderful, it was like being greeted by an old friend even though wed never been before. Friendly, warm and cheerful. Our room was beautiful, large windows on both sides of the room with stunning views. Newly refurbished bathroom with bath and shower. The whole place is spotless. Breakfast was fantastic, freshly cooked and a good selection. Enough to last until your evening meal. Although we never had an evening meal there it smelled gorgeous when we were walking through. It is a perfect location for everything you need. We went for up helly aa which is an event I would recommend seeing. A big thank you to all the staff for our wonderful few days!
