  Excelente

  Tras pasar una incomoda noche en otro hotel nos mudamos a the Lodge donde teniamos reserva y fue un balsamo...100% habitaciones no fumador, confortable, un entorno precioso, buena atencion, muy buen restaurante y otro menos formal.... Se accede por una ruta ascendente desde la ciudad el paisaje es precioso...esta frente al parque Tatanka. (no es centrico)

  Superb facility

  Really nice place. 3 small cons. Casino too warm, very slow wifi, view was side of a building. Pros. Super friendly staff, no mask popos , food at oggies was superb. Won over 500 in 2hrs. Love this place and south Dakota.

  Fun for families and great service

  We stayed here one night on a road trip and I'm very thankful for the excellent service we received. We did not visit the casino, but our kids LOVED the swim area. They had loads to do and never stopped exploring and moving in there. One member of our family has Celiac and cannot eat even a small amount of gluten. We ordered food from the restaurant for supper and breakfast. Both times they were very understanding and accommodated our requests. The food was good too. All staff members we saw were wearing masks. The best thing was we forgot two of our coats and a charging cord in the room. The staff found our items and shipped them back to us promptly. We will remember this place next time we're passing through.

  GREAT Place! October 2020.

  My husband and I always try to get away every October for one week for our anniversary. Due to covid changing our Maui plans and our love of American History we changed plans and decided to visit Deadwood. After reading many great reviews we settled on staying at the lodge. We were not disappointed. We originally booked a king room that I did not realize was an Handicapped Access room, we also arrived at 10am due to a snow storm that was coming in and being unsure of the roads, wanted to get to Deadwood before it got too messy to drive. We knew the room would not be ready till three/four but decided to ask about early check in. They were apologetic that the room was not ready but told us to keep asking and eventually we were able to check in at 1pm versus 3/4. We were also given and upgraded room, a food voucher, $25 in game play, and as it was our anniversary they had a card and two little chocolate boxes (from Chubby Chipmunk, YUM!). The staff here are top notch, everyone is friendly and helpful. The rooms here are also nice, roomy, new, clean, and the beds are actually comfortable, and they give you about 6 pillows...which I LOVE. The tv is also perfectly placed on the wall in front of the king bed, so it was nice and cozy to curl up and watch movies while it was 7 degrees outside and snowed away. I also would add this place and all of SD are rock stars at keeping those roads clear of too much snow and ice. They worked tirelessly to make sure you could get in and out even if you dont drive in the snow! My only complaints (small ones) were about the rooms. The first room we had was the king handicapped room. I loved the decor and it was comfy but it also had no counter space for my girl products, and I did not like the placement of the shower head in the bathroom. The water from the shower also ran on the floor outside the shower and into a drain, and it seemed that the water didnt get very hot. I asked the next morning if it was to move to a regular room and the staff again being awesome moved us to a king room without the handicapped access. The one and only other complaint I had was with the ability to hear noise. Currently living with in-laws while we build a house, and living in an old farm house you can hear every noise. I really wanted to escape this for the week as I am a super light sleeper and easily woken. The first room we were in was on the first floor right around from the lobby. We could hear every conversation outside our door, drunken people cursing, kids and parents and there was also a dog in the room above or next to us that kept barking when anyone went down the hall. The second room we moved to was much quieter, but I could hear the people in the adjoining room talking occasionally and also I could hear their tv from time to time. That made it a little hard to relax as I also didnt want to make too much noise, or turn the tv up as to not be bother to them either. Other than that the rooms are great, the staff are great, the machines allowed us to play and get paid, the Oggies bar has seriously the BEST chicken fried steak, and though we didnt bring our kids the play area by the pool is super fun. We will most Definitely return!!!

  We reserved a room for 2 nights and were going to extend.......

  We arrived on Jan 6 for 2 nights. We asked for a room away from others and noise. They gave us a room on the 4th floor. The first night all was good, nice and quiet, beds very compfy&clean, but when we tried to turn down the thermostat (heat set on 67) it never got cooler! Finally abt 3:30 it was just too hot and we turned the ac on - that did it. Didn't seem like a big deal so we didn't complain about it. The next night, Thursday, all was good - room at our comfortable 64 degrees, until noisy, door slamming people about 10:30 PM continuing for a couple hours. Darn! Thought it was gonna be all good. In light of the new folks coming in late on a Thursday we determined they are here for the weekend and won't be getting any quieter. We just left after our original reservation dates. The hotel is very nice, wood accents, very comfortable&clean beds, staff seems available if needed, view of the hills, pool&hot tub&fitness center, and the bar with wonderful nachos!! We really didn't use the casino. NOTE: No one tells me how or what to review.
