    Amazing all suite hotel but....

Couldn't have asked for a more incredible room!!!! A 3 bedroom suite with a great balcony but....every day we had issues with our room key card. Had several re keyed and the same issues continued. Felt the staff was very condescending about this volunteering to come up and "help me" and saying I needed to hold the key card down to the right. I have travelled the world and using a key card is not rocket science. I understand that things can happen to demagnatize however 3 of the front desk people had the same attitude which was not at all what I would expect from this high end property.

    So good!

Stayed here to celebrate my husband's 50th Birthday! Such a great spot...walking distance to so much. The view from our room was fantastic! The rooms were so clean and had everything you would need. Thank you to Elizabeth for answering all my questions! Would highly recommend!

    3 dressed up as a 9

Lets see; had to listen to the music from the patio till 11:00 even though the patio was closed for the season, lake view required you to press your face against the glass in the bedroom to see it, toilets rocked and weren't anchored to the floor, poor WIFI, swipe card access to the front door didn't work half the time. I'm sure these were once very nice suits and will likely be again once the renovations are all complete. Just wish the establishment had been forthright enough to let us know they were under renovations, we weren't getting a lake view, and they were having issues. $60.00 additional service fee and NO SERVICES during Covid-19. Extra for parking.

    Christina is our favourite!

Ever since our first stay at The Royal weve always had amazing service from Christina, and we are always happy when we see her sitting behind that front desk! She treats every guest with warmth, and respect, and always makes you feel like youre at home during your stay. We recently stayed at the property for my 30th birthday, and my mom had phoned ahead to see if she could come in and drop off some balloons and flowers before my husband and I checked in, and they were more than happy to accommodate the request! Thank you for always being so welcoming, and we cant wait to see you again, for hopefully many more visits in the future!

    Disappointing

A number of concerns: Outrageous parking fee Limited amenities during Covid with no reduction in rate TV channels do not include all TSN, NHL or Fox News Front door key card unit faulty at times Room clean and met expectations so overall about 5/10

    Excellent customer service

We were due to stay at the hotel on Aug 1819 which sadly coincided with the wildfire in West Kelowna. We had a non cancellable room but the hotel allowed us to cancel and fully refunded our costs within days without any argument which was much appreciated. Hopefully we will get the opportunity to stay at the property another time as I was very impresssed with their customer service.

    Perfect location and suite

Stunning hotel, awesome accommodation and the views/location can not be beat. We stayed here the last 2 nights on our trip to Canada from Australia. Not knowing the area well, I am glad we picked this hotel. I could not believe the size and quality of our room, but above all else the view was outstanding. We were able to walk to shops and restaurants, as well as a long the Waterfront Promenade. I had originally booked a 1 bedroom suite, but got a great deal on a 2 bedroom suite with den (Room 256) on the Black Friday sales. The master bathroom was massive, the 2nd bedroom had an ensuite and there was an additional toilet in the hallway. The den was actually set up as a 3rd bedroom. The only bedroom with views was the master. The hotel is secure and paid parking is available on site. Laundry facilities are provided in the room. Loved the indoor/outdoor pool area. Would highly recommend.

    Supremely Disappointing

We have had five nights booked at this hotel, and very little sleep! While the hotel is well located amongst parks and close to downtown Kelowna, it also seems to be party central. Now, if youre young, and this is the scene youre looking for thats great but if youre looking for a quiet family/couples vacation this is not the place. Not only that, they refuse to enforce her own quiet time rules. Management seem to have lost complete control of their hotel. So value for dollar is certainly not here. There seems to be a stuffy still smell in this hotel, and due to the noise situation, its impossible to have a window open at night. It can make one feel quite nauseous. There is a few nice restaurants and casual bars close by which is convenient.

Not worthy the price you pay

The sofa bed in room 451 was in terrible condition, causing my husband sleepless nights throughout our stay. The mattress springs were exposed, it squeaked with every movement, and the mattress itself was soggy. This is a 1-star experience! Additionally, we paid for parking for all four nights, but one evening there was no parking available. The hotel offered a one-day parking refund and referred us to Delta at 10 PM. Eventually, they allowed us to park overnight in the loading spot due to our early checkout the next morning. All the bathrobes we received were very old, some even had holes! There were also no towels in the pool area. The hotel is way too pricey for what they offer.

Unfortunately we didn't receive the suite we booked

We stayed at The Royal Kelowna for 2 nights with 2 people at the beginning of July. Even though we were at the hotel before the agreed check-in time, we were able to get into our room straight away. We were very pleased about this. We were very surprised to find that we had been given a three-bedroom suite instead of the one-bedroom premium suite that we had booked and confirmed. When we asked reception that we had been given the wrong room, we were told that we had an upgrade. The suite we were given was on the 2nd floor and had a view of the inner harbor. However, we didn't want the upgrade and asked for the suite we reserved. It seems like some of the rooms are owned by private persons and not by the hotel. We were told that the owner of the suite that we had booked was staying at the room now and that therefore we would not be able to stay at this suite. There would also be no other one -bedroom premium suite available. The manager who was called said that she could give us a one-bedroom premium suite (???), but it would overlook the city and we would no longer have a lake view. In descriptions of the suites we read that the one- bedroom premium suites are all on the upper floor with a large balcony and lake view. (That's why we booked this suite.) We conclude that either the description was wrong, which we don't believe, or the manager wasn't telling the truth. We feel cheated by the hotel and can only advise against a visit to the Royal Kelowna. There are definitely other hotels in Kelowna that treat their guests more honestly and seriously.
