  Affordable getaway

  We contacted Tropical Palms direct where Rob had some amazing deals. Two night stay with a 24 hour 4wd car hire and ferry tickets included. Rooms were very clean and cosy with also some kitchen equipment but who needs to cook when the pub was a 2 minute walk with a few other restaurants! We took the fishing rods and used the car to drive to West Point and also fished off the jetty which was also a couple of minute walk. Very quiet area and had a seating area and a clean pool also has BBQ area. Rob was very helpful and friendly and we will defiantly be book again in the next coming months for a little weekend getaway.

  Clean, convenient, and great value

  Right next to picnic beach with a couple of great cafes and pub. I rented a room and 4x4 and stayed there for 5 days. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms is super clean and is a great value for the money. There is a kitchenette with a small stove top and cutlery and even some cookware. I highly recommend it I will certainly love to go back there again!

  Magnetic islands BEST!!!

  Magnetic island sells itself with its beauty, but if you want your visit to be taken to the next level, i HIGHLY recommend Tropical Palms at Picnic Bay.Their star rating is 3 (apparently) but i tend to disagree. The rooms are fresh, clean and fully self contained including a kitchenette. Free Wi-Fi and a Beautiful pool and BBQ area. But the owner operators, Rob and Jen, were the most welcoming, helpful, friendly and funny people you could hope for when having a holiday. We checked out today and stayed amidst a cyclone watch. We were updated by Rob and Jen with warnings and cancellation of ferry services as soon as they knew anything, so we knew exactly what was going on at all times. AND We were collected and dropped back to ferry terminal by them when it suited us. Ontop of all of this, tropical palms is a 2min WALK to Picnic Bay Hotel, beach and jetty. As well as having a local community of wild koalas that live in a tree at the end of their same street. I will definitely be back to stay at tropical palms the very next chance i can. Thank you Rob and Jen for catering to every single one of our needs. We appreciate you as people and business operators!! You made our time so much more enjoyable.

  Wonderful place with helpful hosts

  We stayed 6 nights at the Tropical Palms Resort and found it to be extremely comfortable. The room was immaculately clean and the kitchenette very well equipped and allowed us to cook some basic meals. The full size fridge was also very useful and the pool was very welcoming after a day of hiking too. Jen and Rob are excellent friendly hosts and very helpful providing tips and ideas for places to visit with their local knowledge.They have snorkelling gear and vehicles for hire too. The location is great as it's about 200m from the picnic bay jetty where the bus route begins. A great place to stay whilst exploring Magnetic island!

  Fantastic Stay

  Thank you Rob and Jen for making us feel so welcome at your lovely place! Our room was simply perfect with everything we needed. The attention to detail makes all the difference and the room was so very clean. Loved the location and highly recommend staying here. We will definitely be back!
