  PERFECT MAINE VACATION

  Phil and Donna facilitated a superior visit to Acadia from my first phone call, to the packaged frittata on our last morning, so we could make an early morning National Park program. In between, we picked up lobster rolls at Perrys, about 5 minutes from the B&B, and dined on their moonlit patio overlooking the Western Bay. Prior to our feast we had complementary cheese and crackers and fresh fruit they provided in our mini refrigerator. The next morning we awoke to the smell of fresh baked muffins. They accompanied an apple pie smoothie, Maine blueberry stuffed French toast, and a fruit bowl with a delicious glaze. Phil offered suggestions and maps for the days activities as it was going to rain. As the skies were clearing in the late afternoon, we returned from a wet but productive day in the park. We ate lobster in Thurstons at lunch so we grabbed a cold portable meal and a bottle of wine at Hannafords in Ellsworth and dined under the star on our private balcony, mesmerized by the view and the SILENCE afforded us by the secluded location. The rest of our time there was just as spectacular. The morning after we left I asked, what do you think Donna is making for breakfast today? If you are going Downeast, include WAVE Walker B&B in your plans.

  "What we always thought Maine would be like"

  Being blessed to see many parts of the U.S. and the world, my wife and I can both say Wave Walker B&B has been the most enjoyable and serene accommodation we have ever stayed, "hands down". Innkeepers Donna and Phil have been able to take the gorgeous views that come from the location of the property and create a B&B experience that is peaceful, quiet and most of all, fun! Having coffee every morning on the dock, walking the shoreline to eating the best breakfasts ever before hiking in Acadia or utilizing the kayaks on the property made this a great experience for us. Every small detail was accounted for. Our room was spotless, spacious and allowed for the cool breezes to come in every night. From other posts you will see people mention the breakfasts...the only thing we will say is #DA'BOMB!! Thanks again Donna and Phil! We will be back next year.

  Escape to Tranquility

  We have been to a number of bed and breakfasts in various states, and without a doubt, Wave Walker is unique and extraordinary. The attention to detail that Phil and Donna have done in every aspect of the house is admirable. Let me name some of these details: the amazing multi-shower heads in addition to the jacuzzi, fresh fruits, water bottles, wine accessories, chocolates, fresh floral arrangements, and tea candles. There's also the sleep number bed. Donna and Phil were warm hosts-welcoming and informative. Not only did we enjoy the view of the bay and Mount Desert Island, we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfasts. There were wild blueberries available every day, and we even learned how these fruits travel from the ground to their kitchen. Quite interesting!

  Amazing Place!!!

  Donna and Phil are so nice and welcoming and helpful. The accommodations and very clean and comfortable and the view is absolutely beautiful. The homemade three-course breakfast we had on the deck is absolutely amazing - literally the best and most fulfilling breakfast Ive ever eaten. Even food that I normally dislike tasted wonderful. Donnas blueberry muffins made from the blueberries that they grew are a favorite. The view at night is absolutely beautiful as well.

  Outstanding B&B in a idilllic location

  The Wave Walker is off of the beaten path at the end of the Surry peninsula- midway between Ellsworth and Blue Hill. The view across the bay is terrific with a full panorama of Acadia and Cadillac Mountain. This is a destination B&B with chairs on the lawn, balconies, and wonderful hosts. Breakfast should hold anyone for a day or two with homemade muffins,coffee cakes, lobster crepes, blueberry french toast, and more. There is a local lobster restaurant for eat-in or take-out close by. Other restaurant options are available in Ellsworth and/or Blue Hill. Worth the extra miles for a wonderful escape.
