  Lovely place lovely people

  Spent a week here with two youngsters aged 12 and 15, and we had a lovely relaxing week. Its an attractive hotel with a great pool and pretty grounds. Our room was spacious and very clean, and overall the hotel provides great value for money. The hotel is in a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle but is in no way remote. We walked into town in the evenings took about 20 minutes and then got a 6 taxi home. To me thats the best of both worlds, as for the most part we prefer the peace and quiet. The hotel offers a varied menu and the food is very nice. As an alternative there are two really good restaurants within a ten minute walk. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They really are attentive and work incredibly hard to look after their guests.

  Turned away on arrival and left stranded

  Unfortunately when our family of 7 (1 baby and 1 disabled as part of our family) arrived at the accommodation in Zante the hotel owner said he had issues with being paid by the broker and turned us away to the street. We turned to Facebook for some help having had the kids up all day, hungry and hot (35 degrees). Thankfully an amazing man offered to put us up for the night free and allowed us access to his pool for the kids. I called the travel agent who were actually brilliant and re booked us into the apartment via a different broker within a few hours. We did reluctantly return to the original hotel the next day but after being turfed out the day before we were not happy and would rather have moved hotel to somewhere we felt welcome and valued. If only the hotel owner had offered us to run our bags to the room, get the kids in the pool and sort everything out after, we would be writing a very different review. The hotel looked amazing and was very clean. The food was average and over priced considering what hundreds of other places are charging locally. The hotel is around a mile from the main strip and a bit further from the beach. There are no paths along the road so walking is precarious and a care is almost certainly needed although a taxi to the main strip is only 6 and they are very quick and reliable. We got off to a bad start with the hotel owner, we were extremely disappointed with this mans actions meet the travel agents values for dealing with customers specially long standing customers with large families whose holidays will cost considerably more than most. I should also add that other reviews mention about students using the pool facilities, this was the case and on particular day there where 9 teenagers in the pool but in defence to the hotel most operate an open pool area where all are welcome to use the pool with the hope that guess spend money on food and drinks. Its very common on Zante for pool bars to be open to all so if you see somewhere you like the look of just pop in.

  Fantastic hotel with very friendly people and super service!

  We had a very nice stay! The owner Costa is a very friendly person. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Rooms also have AC. We felt very welcome. The service in the restaurant and the poolbar was outstanding. Vivian who ran the bar and restaurant really saw to it that our kids, my wife and myself got everything we needed and wanted. Our daughters birthday got special attention. Really nice! THANK YOU. Thank you all at Anagenissis for making our vacation perfect.   Absolutely wonderful

  We had a fantastic stay at Anagenessis; I genuinely dont know where to start. The hotel is set about a mile from the main strip at Kalamaki, and the transfer from the airport took about twenty minutes. While we were aware of the occasional plane passing over, it didnt make any difference. I also found out that planes dont land on Zakynthos at night, because it disturbs the turtles, so you can be sure of a good nights sleep! Both the rooms we stayed in (see below for the reason!) were clean, comfortable and perfectly adequate for our needs. A shower over the bath rather than the usual shower cubicle was very welcome, and the complimentary toiletries were very nice! The owner, Costa, was kind, attentive and helpful throughout. Hes clearly been through the mill throughout the pandemic and when we first arrived there was an issue with our booking - the Greek third party agency used by LoveHolidays and On The Beach had not paid him for any bookings for the last four months, so very sensibly hed informed them that he wasnt accepting any more bookings that came via them. LoveHolidays failed to notify us of that, so that required a phone call (or five) to sort out. We bought some water while we waited and the boys were offered some sweets, and it was quickly sorted out. The room was comfortable- spotlessly clean and with lovely views from the balcony. Wed booked half board and enjoyed a fabulous dinner and breakfast - tips for food; try the lamb burger, zatziki and pork souvlakia. For breakfast I had the Greek breakfast each morning and loved it, and the boys really enjoyed the kids breakfasts. Theres plenty of choice and enough to keep you full. Also recommend the mojitos! On the second day, however, disaster struck, and I missed my footing by the pool and managed to break my ankle. Once again, the staff were simply amazing. Vivien at the bar and Costa couldnt do enough to help me - even to the point of helping to carry me down a flight of stairs in a wheelchair to get me to the medical centre. By the time I got back theyd arranged a ground floor room for us, insisted on setting up the air conditioning - which we had to fight to pay for! The rest of the holiday passed without incident - nothing was too much trouble for Costa and his staff, and we came away absolutely determined to return again next year.   Beautifully clean apartment complex.

  Here right now with my Husband and 2 teenagers 14 & 17. The owner was very helpful and friendly on our arrival. We got a taxi from the airport which was only a 7 minute journey and cost 13. Our apartment overlooked the pool and it was big and spacious. Apartment was cleaned most days. We opted for bed and breakfast but because of covid all meals were served outdoors around the bar area but this was not a problem. Breakfast was a bit slow on the first couple of days but that's because there were more guest and only one bar lady/waitress (she is lovely by the way!) but the rest of the days were fine. Breakfast was served from 8am-10am, with choices of full English, Greek or kids breakfast with was cereal and ham and cheese with toast. The pool is fantastic,the kids said its the best and cleanest they've ever seen not all full of sun lotion like other pools we've been in. Sun beds were also the best and most comfortable we've had too. The apartment is a bit if a walk away from the nearest beach (about a 20 minute walk) We hired a car because we wanted to see the island. Our sat nav on our phones did the job of navigating us everywhere we wanted to go no problem. 25 mins to Turtle rescue centre and beach 48 mins to shipwreck cove port to get the boat for a trip there. Overall we've had the best time and I would absolutely recommend this apartment complex but I would recommend getting a hire car to get around but its not essential.
