  Extraordinary Chateau

  Super location. What a welcome! (Special thanks to Sylvie). Nice castle, clean, with beautiful rooms. An outdoor swimming pool, an art gallery, a retaurant and many cozy places to relax around the castle. Secret tip: look for the pond of the castle.

  As is to be expected we had a wonderful break. The owners are very welcoming and the reception and breakfast staff are exceptional. The bonus is a really good on-site restaurant. We have been several times a year for about the last 4 years or so. Not far from our French summer house but feels a million miles away

  Splendid property and great breakfast

  We picked this place for an overnight stay on the way South. Great property with nice excellent value family room sleeping 4 (booked directly on the hotels website). Extremely friendly service. The restaurant unfortunately was closed but we got good recommendations for restaurants in surrounding villages. Only little side remark : the unheated pool is overshadowed by large trees most of the day, do a bit of a nutcracking character-building experience ...

  A wonderful Chateau with great staff & wonderful food

  This Chateau is a most wonderful building with it's history. The staff greet you on arrival and offer a personal touch throughout your stay & always happy to help. It has lovely grounds & a nice swimming pool to lounge around. Unfortunately for us, it was constantly raining, so we didn't get to experience this wonderful relaxing side of the Chateau. The rooms are well equipped and the restaurant is a fine dining restaurant of which the food was excellent. They were very good to cater for my 2 children who are not so adventurous with their food and provided them with a great children's menu. We had a set menu at 60 euros which included an aperitif, a bottle of wine between 2, starter, main, cheese & dessert course plus coffee. The food was excellently presented and tasted divine, Highly recommend it. Overall we had a wonderful, albeit quick, overnight stay here.

  Lovely hotel!

  We have just enjoyed a two night stay at Chateau Nieuil. From the moment we arrived, to be met at our car, till checkout, the experience was perfect in every way! Our room, number 7 Le Rossignol (Nightingale) was large , comfortable and fully equipped. Due to C19 the minibar was not being used which is reasonable. The room overlooks the gardens to the rear of the chateau. A very good breakfast table is provided with breads, pastries, cereals, fruit juices, cold meats and eggs cooked to order. We also enjoyed a short walk through the woodland to the lake. It was a pleasure to meet M et Mme Bodinaud and their staff, Myriam, Sylvie, Cathy and the room service staff that we did not meet who made our stay so enjoyable. Thank you one and all!
