  Great Hotel

  Other than the long wait for a shuttle when we got there this place was AWESOME!! BEST BED IN A HOTEL EVER !! Everything is within walking distance (like food and groceries) and it is located in a safe neighborhood.

  Rene's SURPRISE FIERY FIFTY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

  I've worked in the hospitality industry for 26 years and I know great customer service when I experience it. I surprised my wife Rene Phillips with a surprise trip to Fort Lauderdale to celebrate her 50th birthday. Several of her friends flew in to surprise her and we had a phenomenal time. We stayed at the Four Points Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Airport/Cruise Port. Every person that we encountered from the shuttle driver to the housekeeper were exceptional Our first night there... I didn't want to go out of the hotel due to COVID-19, but I did want to have some sort of gathering for my wife. The GM Comeal offered us a small meeting space to have a small birthday gathering. Not only that, she discovered that we totally enjoyed lip sync battle and Karaoke. She went out of her way to make sure we had a bluetooth speaker for music. Totally impressed me!! I have to call these other names of people who made our stay extremely pleasant. FOM Zerodia Sutton was very informative and helpful to help us to find things in the area for us to do. Johnnghen and Kirk was extremely helpful as well. Like I said before, they helped to make my wife's birthday an extremely memorable experience. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel and if we are ever back in the Fort Lauderdale area, we will be staying there again.

  Basic hotel close to airport

  Prices were high for holiday weekend, but this was a good Marriott option. Front desk employees were super friendly. Room was mostly clean. Hallways were very noisy overnight. Room smelled a little musty as well, but gave us a good nights sleep. We were a little weary pulling up due to the numerous signs in the parking lot warning hotel is not responsible for accidents or theft. I would say that is assumed at every hotel, and havent ever seen signs like this at a hotel before. Also, numerous police vehicles by the front door when we left in the morning. Shuttle only runs every hour so we took an Uber to airport. Not bad for the price but not great either.

  Don't come here!!!

  This hotel is trash! Regrettably, my family and I booked three nights here. First off the pictures make the room look way better than it is. On the second day, I'm wondering where is the maid? So we inquired at the front desk for us to be told that "because of Covid" they only clean every six days! 6 days?!?! Because of Covid, you clean less?? Not only do they not clean the room but they do not pick up the towels nor garbage. You either have to catch the maid in the hallway cleaning check-out rooms or leave the towels outside the door. Same for the garbage or dispose of it in a larger bin on the property. GHETTO!! Anything you need you have to go down to the front desk to retrieve it. Once I found out their cleaning policy I just starting feeling gross and it makes me wonder if they are comfortable cleaning only on the sixth day how thorough are you really cleaning. There is a CVS around the corner I was forced to buy bleach wipes, disinfectant spray, and cleaning solution to clean my room myself. We have 3 small children (and you know the mess they make) so we had to request the vacuum cleaner; had to do that myself also. Not cleaning for 6 days is unheard of, this is how COVID spreads. On our last day, we spotted a roach in the bathroom. Yuck! The only satisfactory things were the pool is always open (but no pool towels are given, same rough, cheap towels given in your room) and the shuttle to and from the airport. Neither one of these two things makes it worth it.

  Airport shuttle, pool, location, great staff, lobby coffee!

  I stayed here for one night from 26-27FEB2021 and had a good stay. The guy at the front desk when I checked in was extremely professional, hospitable, and nice to talk to. The room was perfectly clean with ample electric plugs, a good bathroom, comfortable bed, good A/C, reliable internet, and a big TV. I really appreciated the in-room coffee and even lobby coffee...you don't see much of that in the age of COVID! I enjoyed the small, but well-appointed pool area in the afternoon. The location near the intersection of Highway 1 and 17TH Street means there are plenty of restaurants and stores within walking distance. Checkout went smoothly and the shuttle was perfectly on-time for my trip to the airport. There was an odd experience at 03.45 in the morning when two guests on my floor got into a fight and there was a lot of screaming and threats of violence against each other for about 25-30 minutes. I called the front desk immediately and they had already called the police. But it must have taken a long time for the police to get there, because the screaming lasted a very long time and I'm not sure how the situation was resolved. Despite that disruption in the middle of the night, I had an otherwise excellent stay. I can't really blame the hotel for rowdy guests, but it was scary for a while and I didn't get the sleep I was hoping for. But I would stay there again and appreciate the professional staff at this hotel!
