  Exceptional hotel

  What is there not to like about this hotel. Brilliant food. Brilliant staff. Ronald and his family take time to make you feel welcome. And the location is spot on for a rather special quiet get away. I stopped there on my way back from Italy. But have stopped there a few times now. Got to be a reason that keeps me coming back.

  Cosy and friendly hotel

  We stayed here one night on a trip across Luxembourg with the kids (6 and 4 years old). The place is a family-run hotel since 50 years and the owners, as well as the staff, were around to make us feel really at home. They also gave us good ideas of where to walk and what to see. The room, which was clean and neat, had a bubble bath as promised and two floors so the kids could sleep downstairs and we upstairs. The dinner food was great and the staff made a lot of effort both for us (including the kids) to feel relaxed as well as to explain things in English (as our French is not perfect). Not to mention their own house beer, which was delicious. The restaurant also had a great, really big, play area for the kids with lots of toys. We can understand why some, as we have read in some comments, may find the vibe of the place odd, but we found it really charming. The hotel is made up of several houses that have been connected over the years so it has lots of entries and exits, corridors and various floors. And the deco is very nice with a mix of styles. Not modern, but friendly. The hotel also has lots of books everywhere that one can read or borrow and a really big game room with ping pong, kids games, board games and other things, which kept us occupied. We didnt try the gym or spa, but saw the gym and it was very well equipped. The breakfast was also nice and we left very happy - and happy to return!

  Good restaurant with service

  Friendly service and enough choice for everyone! It is nice to sit at the upper terras . The staff is very friendly and helpfull! Good restaurant for a long dinner of a good lunch! Parking in front of the restaurant.

  nice location, bad service

  The hotel is ideally located on the top of the super beautiful village. It is quite old, but is has some kind of charm. Check in is at 14:00. However we arrived at 12:00 and asked if the room was available. The reaction from the woman at reception was very unfriendly and unpolite. Bad start... We came back at 1800 and we were welcomed by a much more friendly and older woman. A Cuban woman took us then to our room. She did a good job, as she made us forget the unfriendliness of the first person at the reception. Room was fine, although some refreshment is clearly needed. Silent at night is great, except for some unpolite guests that decided to play ping pong at two in the morning. This is clearly not allowed. I would suggest not leaving the balls available at night to avoid this kind if unpleasant situation. Breakfast was good, although tables were not well separated. I did not feel really safe. Check out was very bad. Nobody in the reception. A woman tells us to go to the bar. Nobody at the bar. I had to get into the kitchen to ask for checkout... really messy. To finalized we were charged 5 euros for Covid measures... There is a wonderful terrace but only available for the restaurant, and not for breakfast. I will not come back.

  Don't go!

  Can't believe this is a 4-star hotel! On arriving the owner was extremely rude, we already wanted to head back home, not feeling welcome at all. We were in the honeymoon suite. Can't imagine being there with my husband though, there are pictures of other couples all over the walls and a very cheesy decoration. Not chique at all. Decorations just gathered dust. We had dinner there, awful! We ordered the John Dory but I suspect it wasn't John Dory at all. The first time in my life I even left the dessert unfinished. The waiters were nice but far from being professional, for a 4-star hotel. And I'm surprised I'm not positive to covid-19 because breakfast was the right place to catch it! Zero hygiene, apart from the low quality food. And we paid an exorbitant price for all this!
