  Excellent vacation

  Okay, first of this is our 4th visit to this hotel in the past seven years. We spent our honeymoon hear in 2014. We arrived later in the day on Feb 27th 2021. Temp Taken luggage sanitized. Got checked in. Took us to our room. We had ocean front concierge in bldg. nine. Next day we had breakfast at the buffet. It was okay. Marverik is really great to make an omelette or any type of eggs you desire. Five stars to him. He has a lot of talent. Our servers were nice. Not all the restauratns were operating For example the platinum may have been open one night and the italian the next night. Do not know about the other restaurants as we did not eat their. The Pizza place was closed all week and I believe it was open on Friday and Saturday. Not sure about Sundays. They should open it up more during the weeks. The grill has hamburgers, hot dogs, jerk chicken and pork etc. We did eat their and it was good. The beach was oalways clean and due to low occupancy no need need for the towel game. Chairs were spaced out so no worries their. Big shout out to Aquaman, Metro, Jayvsco, and the rest of the watersport guys. They work so hard so give these guys some credit. I tipped them as sometimes people forget that these guys make sure the pools are clean and the seaweed is off the beach. Ten stars to these guys. They are rockstars. Our room was very nice and clean. Our housekeeper Evette is an outstanding person and worth ten stars. JPC is very fortunate to her her in your employ. She is what customer service is all about. Back to the food. It is subjective but our favorite place was the italian restaurant and our good friend Shavon is another outstanding example of customer service. Ten stars to him as well. Covide testing was done professionally and quickly. They have a nurse available to do it at the resort and you get the results the next day. We had ours done on a Thursday at 11 am and results were ready by 9 am the next day. Five stars to JPC for coordinating that one. Now some of the downsides: The last two nights we were their the sheets we slept on felt like sandpaper. Maybe it is the detergent they use. Also the bathroom The oceanfront concierge bathroom is like something out of the 1970's. Jacuzzi tubs are a thing of the past.. Put in a walk in shower with a rainshower head. Also their toilets constantly run. You have to jiggle the handle to make it go away. Also get some paper menus. Not everyone wants to use their smartphone to get a QR code for a menu. Minus ten points on that. Also go back to the newsletter. I found an actual hardcopy of one. after they told me that they do not do them anymore. Shame on you JPC. We also hace an issue the first few day. We did get it resolved. It would be great if they could update their protocals with their security team on how to interact with the guess whom paid thousands of dollars to vacation at JPC. The people whom made a difference in our visit were as follows: Tariq ( I think groundskeeper of the common areas) Taneesha (Waitress buffet and grill area and an old friend) Tricia (buffet supervisor) Moesha (Waitress buffet and an old friend) Lenor (hostess waitperson buffet) Donovan (supervisor sunset bar and lobby bar a good friend and a rockstar!!!!!!) Andre (bartender at sunset lobby bar) Janice @ ( sunset bar an old friend and another rockstar superstar!!!!!) Rick (bartender at sunset bar) Donovan ( Front desk bellman) Anetta (front desk checkin) A few last words. Donovan the supervisor of the sunset lobby bar is an outstanding example of leadership is knowledgable in his work and has a very dedicated work ethic. Hopefully he will be promoted to assistant beverage manager of the bars. He is a shining example of customer service Janice at the sunset bar is another shining star. She is an outstanding bartender and does her job with such great pride and dedication JPC is very lucky to have her. Not to many like her around. You guys are very blessed and lucky to have her working for JPC Overall we keep coming back as the people whom work their make it worthwhile. While I stated a few things, hopefully management will take these suggestions into consideration and make some improvements. We will keep coming and thank you to the staff and everyone at JPC.   Friendly, accomodating and CLEAN!

  We had a wonderful time on our trip to celebrate my 50th Birthday. Although all of the restaurants and amenities were not fully open due to Covid-19 complications the staff more than made up for what was lacking. There were at least 3 restaurants open every night plus room service and the aquamarine grill. The staff was accommodating and truly bent over backwards to make us feel safe and happy. The mattresses are very firm which was great for my husband, not so much for me. We upgraded our room to an ocean view however our view was blocked by a palm tree which was a little disappointing. We truly enjoyed all that the resort had to offer. The watersports team was awesome! Carlos and Dwayne took us out on a sunset "booze" cruise for my birthday on the glass bottom boat. They even had a piece of birthday cake for me! Our favorite dinner was at the Jade Samurai. I do wish we could have enjoyed the sushi restaurant which was closed due to Covid-19. Iyeesha was a true sweetheart at the Aquamarine Grill where we ate lunch nearly everyday. She even got us pizza and brought it to us. I also want to give major kudos to the concierge who made sure a pair of shoes were returned to my sister in law from one of our excursions. She had left them on the bus which was supposed to be ok but our driver had an emergency so we had a different driver. We thought for sure the shoes were lost but she worked to get them back! To me that truly says something about the level of commitment to customer service that this resort has.

  Beautiful Resort

  We stayed during Covid and the resort was at 25% capacity. They offered plenty of activities if you wanted to be busy and plenty of opportunities to just hang out in the beach if you wanted. The staff was amazing and the resort was clean and beautiful!

  Great swim up bars and nice people!

  We just got back from Jewel Paradise Cove and all in all it was a really great time. The main private beach is very nice and tucked away and the hidden private beach is nice as well although shaded for most of the day. The rooms are a bit dated (as is the resort) but not a big deal. The pools and swim up bars are excellent but currently one was not open. COVID has taken it's toll on the vacation scene here. Masks were forced in all the restaurants to walk in 10 feet and sit down which I felt was silly when we were just out at the bar with no mask. A fair amount of the amenities are closed and dining options were not easy or convenient. By far and large the worst part was that the food was generally NOT good with a few exceptions. The Moonstone Mediterranean restaurant was fantastic! The Japanese Hibachi was also great and the cook was hilarious. The buffet was basically gross minus a couple items, however breakfast was OK. The service was very good but the clear frontrunner in that area was Marlon! He was the absolute best bartender on the resort! Such a fun guy and great server!

  The BEST place to stay

  We loved Jewel Paradise Cove. The size of the resort is comfortable. Plenty of things to do yet not an oversized superclub. The workers remember your name and everyone goes out of their way to make your stay wonderful. It is a wonderful location between Montego Bay and Ocho Rios.
