  Good stop for families

  Stayed here on the way from Calais to La Rocheal and it was very clean and spacious accomendation- 3 bedroom appt with cooking facilities but surprisingly no TV or wifi in the lounge/diner area. Nice grounds to walk through.

  Warm Welcome after late arrival

  After a dreadful crossing (Newhaven/Dieppe) due to storms, we arrived very late - on a Sunday - to find everywhere closed and no chance of a meal. The receptionist immediately offered to prepare a cold plate with items she could find in the kitchen, and produced a wonderful salad, followed by Apple Tart and creme anglais! What a wonderful way to start our 3 nights at Normandy Country Club. We had an apartment for 4 (although we were only 2), managed one round of golf (the ground was very sticky) and ate in the restaurant proper, which was also good. We did venture into Belleme one evening and ate very well and reasonably in a local place. Would recommend this, and hope to return in better weather!!

  Second visit in 3 years

  This was our second visit in 3 years and we asked to stay in the very same apartment. The place is just so quiet and peaceful, making for a really relaxing break. Once again we didn't make use of the golf resort, mainly because we bought some lovely food to cook. The accomodation was lovely and warm, and this would be true even if we had not had one of the mildest winters for years. We'll be back again at some point I am sure.

  Hotel closed

  Booked one night through hotels.com and paid in advance. Hotels.com site said no need to confirm booking. Arrived with very tired wife and two dogs after 11 hours drive up from Spain to find hotel closed with hand printed notice on the door. Phone numbers out of order. Hotels.com found us another hotel after over an hour on the phone mostly on hold. Will not be back or using hotels.com again!

  Restaurant shut!!!!! No notice

  Absolutely gutted we had drive for four hours to get here, looking forward to a nice meal with our two children. On arrival we were told that the restaurant was shut for two weeks, we had not been informed of this!!!! Then tried all the restaurants in the area...all were full or shut. 40 minute round trip to get a disgusting McDonalds for our very hungry children as that was the only option. Really really angry and upset. Will not be returning.
