  An excellent place for relaxation

  The hotel is in a peaceful location at the top end of a park, five minutes walk from the town centre and Kurpark entrance, with an accessible mineral spring a few steps away that you can see from the dining room windows. A walk around the Kurpark is a mustwhich deserves its reputation of being "the most beautiful park in Germany"especially in spring time when the azaleas are in bloom. Try the Barfuß-Parcours for the fun of wading barefoot through the therapeutic mud! A walk through the trees and meadows on the Bromberg is also very therapeutic. The hotel also has its own garden. This is a quiet spa town and the visitors tend to be elderly. All the hotel staff were friendly and courteous towards us: the hotel manager sold us access tickets to the Kurpark and was also helpful when we needed a taxi to the station. We arrived three hours before the official check-in time but were allowed immediate access to our room. If you feel like a drink or snack at any time of the day you can help yourself to what's available in the lounge, writing it down to be charged to your room. Our beds were very comfortable; the ensuite facilities had a shower and heated towel rails but no bath tub. The spacious rooms have easy to open windows and balconies with deck chairs overlooking the park; the only "noise" you're aware of is birdsong. Breakfast is included in the price of the stay and consists of a buffet offering plenty of choice with coffee (though no decaffeinated coffee was available) or tea; the waiter also offered to cook fried eggs for us. There's a long flight of steps up to the front door which we didn't mind, but which might be a problem for someone less mobile or with a lot of luggage. I didn't like the background music in the lounge when I went in there to have a snack and write emails, but couldn't find a way of turning it off. The wifi connection at the hotel didn't work very well on my iPad, but my husband had no such problems with his laptop computer.

  Just two nights; would love to stay longer.

  We were just looking for a bed for two nights whilst attending a family wedding so did not want to spend too much, nor pay for facilities we would not be using. We arrived before check in time tired after a very long journey from the UK but were allowed to our room straight away. The hotel owner double checked the room to ensure everything was ready. The hotel has been recently refurbished and the rooms are chic and comfortable. Although there is no formal bar, an 'honesty bar' with a good range of hot, cold and alcohol available. The location is excellent. Sitting above one of the local springs and surrounded by parkland, it is just 5 minutes walk from the town centre, the beautiful Kur Park and 10 minutes from the Schloss. Breakfast offered a wide range of hot and cold buffet items along with fresh bread and pastries. All staff, especially the owners, were very polite and helpful. In my opinion the Park Hotel Bad Pyrmont offers an experience and service far in excess of its three stars. We would happily stay again.

  Mixed service experience

  Modern, clean and comfortable room with very small but rather functional bathroom and tiny balcony with great views to the park areas of Bad Pyrmont. Limited parking space behind the hotel. Breakfast high quality, nice selection and good service, served in the stylish restaurant. Considerable difference in how front desk team addresses guests.
