  Nice, spacious, convenient

  Closer to be a long-term stay hotel, the Residence offers very spacious rooms that are essentially efficiencies. Surprisingly little noise considering the location and arrangement of rooms. Definitely a great place to stay, very convenient to food and supplies. Would use again.

  Convenient Location, Nice size room

  My stay was for a Covid-19 quarantine after arriving from an international flight, so it's not the full service of the hotel that people would normally see. My review is based on that. There is no breakfast or coffee service and the pool is closed. Pros: Very convenient right off I-91. Apartment style hotel with private entrances, ideal for quarantine. Very comfortable bed! There is a sliding screen door so you can open it for fresh air and natural light. Good, well-equipped kitchen. There's a gas station/convenience store with a Dunkin Donuts and Subway, just up the road. Not a bad walk to Windsor Center. The staff have been responsive and helpful. The hotel has implemented some safety precautions to reduce exposure (plastic shields at front desk, everyone masked, etc. Plenty of free parking. Cons: The area is a bit isolated down a wooded side street. There are no sidewalks to make your way up to the shop, so if you have no car it's not great for walking around. As I do prefer to walk, I did walk up the road, and there is a ton of trash on the side of the road, and an abandoned parking lot from what I assume was the older gas station that has been replaced. The free wifi is horrible - constantly cutting out and patchy. I am working from my room, so this was essential. They do have an option to upgrade but it's another $5.00 per day and as I'm here for 14 days it's just an added expense I don't need. As a Marriot member, it would be nice if the good wifi was included in my room. The room wasn't as clean as I'd like to see amidst a pandemic. The top of the fridge is very dirty, looks like it was wiped down in a hurry after months of dust. I brought my own Lysol wipes, so cleaned surfaces on my arrival. I moved the sofa so I could exercise in the room, as the pool and facilities are closed, and it was pretty dirty under there with hairballs and other bits. The toilet area did not seem very clean. The room had a bit of a funky smell too, which I either got used to or it dissipated with me opening doors. Also, as I'm here for 2 weeks I requested extra room supplies up front, but was only given 3 towels, and the usual bar of soap and 1 pod for the dishwasher. I've requested extra towels and they brought them to the door in a bag, which was nice. Just a bit of a hassle. 2 weeks in the same bed sheets, also not my favorite. I'm on the 1st floor, so my screen door opens to the walkway and the A/C units are right outside my door. I have opened the screen door a few times to get fresh air in, but it's SO loud and there is no privacy with people walking past. There was also a random fight at 2:45am outside my door which was a hassle. And...SO MANY SPIDERS and other insects! We're by a wooded area so I suppose it's unavoidable, but it's just been startling to see a spider on every turn. All in all, the hotel has served my purpose for my coronavirus quarantine. It hasn't been anything spectacular, but I'd give it another try when quarantine is over.

  It's not worth the stay

  We stayed for 6 days while we were waiting to close on our new house. We know this property well and have stayed many times. This time will be our last. Understandable and welcoming, due to COVID-19 some changes had to be made, masks are required and plexiglass glass has been installed at the front desk. These were the only CDC/State Law requirements I saw in 6 days. Before check in, and on Trip Advisor, we were informed that breakfast will not be served due to COVID-19. When we arrived and AFTER checking in, we were informed that the pool is also closed and there will be no room cleaning service and if we needed anything call the operator and it will be supplied. The pictures big white bag are towels, toilet tissue, garbage bags, and wash clothes. The hotel drops this bag at the door. We had to take out our own trash and make our own beds and do all our cleaning. At the end if the stay I spoke to the area manager and requested a courtesy discount as the true conditions due to COVID-19 were not listed on any website nor informed until we had checked in. The manager offer a $50 credit........ Please save yourself the hassle and stay somewhere else. The nightly rate is GROSSLY an over charge for this property. Break

  NASTY NASTY UNSAFE PLACE

  Dont stay here the place and grounds reak of garbage the dumpster overflowing!! the room was dirty There was more then 50 cigarette butts in front of my doorway theres dirty cars all in the lot there was a man bbqing in front of my door the place is like a horror movie!! your stuck in a highway motel with no way out The staff was unmoved by the issues The Manager did not say sorry and assumed theres no problem ??? Marriott it is not save your money go to the Hilton

  Super Gross

  We were told there was a 4-day Deep Clean. When we arrived it had changed to a 24-hour clean. There was no way this apartment had been deep cleaned in the last year. We were in a non-smoking building and the suite reeked of smoke. We looked at other non smoking rooms and they all smelled the same. The 24-hour clean included urine under the toilet seat, long black hair left on the bathroom floor. An earring stud left on the vacuumed floor. After going out to get our own cleaning supplies, it took us 3 Swiffer wets to get the grunge off the bathroom floor. We bought our own linens and replaced the hotel linen, only to discover there was no mattress pad between the stained mattress and the clean sheet. It is gross. The kitchens have nice granite counter tops, so once you clean it yourself, it looks pretty nice. As long as you can get over the cigarette smell wafting around. It should be listed as a BYOCS (Bring Your Own Cleaning Supplies). Along with your own respirator and hazmat suit to clean the COVID suite. YIKES!
