  Great alternative to Lego Land hotel restaurant

  Visited in March 2019, 2 adults and 2 kids, we were staying at Lego Land hotel who were charging £22 per adult and £12 per child buffet dinner. Decided to drive a couple of hundred metres up the road to the Prince Albert and boy am I glad we did. Food was amazing especially the inside out burger and service a delight. Do not pay the over priced hotel prices pop up the road and save yourself half the amount.

  After Legoland meal

  We left legoland at closing and wanted to grab a bite to eat while the M25 traffic died down. So decided on this pub as it was on the way home. Very pleased we did. We hadn't booked but the gentleman separated some large, pre set tables to accommodate my wife, son and I. We all opted for burgers and they were a delight. Home made, not your usual bought in rubbish. My chilli burger was huge and my wife loved her veggie burger and my son his generous kids burger. Couple this with great value and I would highly recommend this pub/hotel/restaurant. Will definitely be returning. Great end to a great day! Many thanks.

  Covid Safe!

  We decided to go for dinner at the Albert earlier this week very last minute. We were a little bit wary of how safe it would feel but they have done a fantastic job with making the pub safe for everyone. You are asked to write down your details when you arrive and someone takes your temperature at the same time. They have also got a one way system operating so you enter through the front of the pub and when you leave you go out through the back. Probably the best thing is that they have put call bells on all the tables so you can call to order or call when you want the bill. Alternatively there is now an app where you can select your table, see the menu, order and pay. It was so easy to use but the pub is charged a fee for using this as youd expect so next time we would just use the call bell to avoid them having to pay the fee. They have also fitted locks to the main toilet doors so you can lock it behind you meaning only one person can be in there at once. I felt it was important to write a review as Im sure there are lots of people who are nervous so hopefully this reassures you a bit. I dont think they could really do anything more to make things safe for their customers and staff.

  Life savers

  We stayed here on Sunday 9th August. Sadly our car had broke down and we were 260 miles away from home. Garages were shut being a Sunday so could not get fixed. There was myself, my partner and 2 young children. We booked it at 1.00 and by 1.20 we were in our room. The staff was so helpful and friendly. The next morning we were due to check out at 10.00 but they told us we could stay in room till car was fixed which was originally quoted as 3.00pm (luckily was 1.00). They even brought in a jug of ice water for kids we hadnt asked for. So kind and helpful. Breakfast was very enjoyable and the meal we had in pub was lovely. We had the pie. Very nice. I cant thank the staff enough for being so kind and helpful and I do highly recommend this place. Thanks again.

  Not Good

  Food we ordered took an hour to arrive - how long can it take to rustle up sandwiches and chips - and then it wasnt up to much - the steak baguette was mostly onions None of the staff wore a face covering Find somewhere else
