    Happy customer here :D

    The hunters chicken. Chicken and bacon burger. Chicken sticks with salad. My go to favourites (I still have a lot of the menu to get through but these are glorious and heavenly if the right chef or chefs are in). Unlike some customers I've seen, I won't subjugate the staff due to mistakes when clearly they are trying there hardest to accommodate everyone and make sure the atmosphere stays positive and chirpy. Can always garauntee that the front of house staff are chirpy and very friendly which you can tell isn't fake and makes you feel very welcomed. Cait,Cara,Ant,Polly,Paige,Tash,Lewis,Kira, Rhi have all made my evenings brighter with small talk and great banter. The management could smile a bit more but they are clearly doing a few things at once and just prioritizing the tasks needed doing and getting them done, however every customer with an enquiry are engaged fully and you never feel like a nuisance when coming to them for a solution to your problem or question. Even the kitchen staff are very friendly as well, I like to make a point of thanking them in person each time I have a meal that makes my mouth melt in bliss (Thank you Ollie, Adam, Oscar and Ali, alongside the team members in the kitchen for making my food a delight to enjoy). Everyone adheres to the new rules. Considering how quickly everything changed due to the virus I am impressed that alongside the normal duties they have adapted quickly to new rules and changes. You can tell that they are all doing there best and that your needs are there concern. I'll keep coming back as long as they keep bringing the warm smiles and atmosphere to my table when I arrive as even if it's busy, I never notice the wait because the staff are so chatty and friendly while also on the look out for anyone that needs attending to. The rooms could do with a bit of love but the house keeping are friendly and attend to the room like it's their own. Thank you everyone for making me feel welcomed.

    Don't eat there!

    So disappointed! Eaten here many times before and today we meet family for a Sunday roast for the first time this year due to Covid. (No track and trace details taken for anyone in our group) 1.30pm... No roast beef and only 1 pork left... So Turkey it was. Absolutely bloody shocking.....carrots were still muddy and veg not cooked. Mash you could fill holes in walls with, soggy (assume frozen) un roasted potatoes. 2 porks turned up and 1 Turkey instead of other was around as ordered. Daughter in law ordered hunters chicken.... Tiny, over cooked chicken breast, half a portion of chips at best and 1 onion ring. Dry half portion of cauliflower cheese. I never complain about anything but at the end of our meal (what we could face eating) I asked for the bill and quietly told the waitress that I wasn't making a complaint and would pay the bill but I thought they should know I would never be eating the again and explained why. To be fair they then took the roasts off of the bill but we had to go to Kasper's for something else to eat. Such a shame, I thought it was very odd that it was so empty on a Sunday afternoon....I know know why!

    Even 1 is too much for here......!!!!

    We have visited here before for meals and parties but never stayed. On arrival we checked in room 17! Quite a lot of stairs to go up to get to the room the decor was tired, poor and dirty. The corridors absolutely stunk of stale cigarettes! Half way to the room I had to stop a lady came out of a private door in her pyjamas my bag was on the floor and she kindly used her feet to move this! The room itself was awful tired decor stains and spills all up the walls it was smelly and generally not fit for purpose. The bathroom was what I can only describe as bloody grim! The toilet was continually flushing! Its obvious from this review to say that we didnt stay here no sooner did I check in I checked out. I told the reception staff that the room was disgusting and dirty and the response was they would let the cleaners know?!!! Unfortunately it needs much more than this!!! Smashing down and rebuilding is needed! Oh and no I wouldnt recommend thank god we were about to go elsewhere!

    Great stay

    Just got back from a night here , great stay manager and stuff could not be more helpful , the food was good pub food and the bed very comfortable just what you need for a night away , will definitely be going back .Thank you for a great stay .

    Simply Lovely

    Fantastic place to visit! Staff were so polite and the food was delicious. Rooms are very much good value for money aswell. Tom really couldn't have done anymore for us!! Would recommend this place to anyone!
