  Great food, comfy beds!

  We stayed 7 nights here and loved it. The food was great and beds were comfy and the whole place very traditional and cozy! Plus its close to the ski mountains too, a hotel bus is available but some days we walked and it wasnt too far at all.

  Austria at its best

  We spent a great week here. Everyone was friendly and welcoming in this lovely hotel. Our room had a beautiful view, it was comfortable and very clean. The meals were good and catered for my gluten-free needs exceptionally well. We had hot and sunny weather and spent hours walking in the mountains. Soll has good access to lifts, both in the village and along the valley and the bus services are reliable. Thank you Margreth and team.

  Don't visit us if you come for one night

  The good things: the view, the room was very clean. The bad things: the lady in charge probably didn't like the fact that we came for one night - so when we asked sitting in a certain table at the breakfast, when there was only us, she said "no, because you came for one night and we have guests here for more", and then sat us in a corner spot. Also, any chance of speaking with the front desk after 9:00 pm regarding to your room will be impossible. Also, Our check out was the only time she smiled at us.

  WATCH THE PRICING

  Clean and spacious room.Our holiday had been kindly postponed for a year due to a family terminal illness but we had received a total of THREE emails confirming the new booking at a rate of 75 euros per person per night. When we came to check out it was insisted that we had to pay 80 euros per person per night which in view of an eight night stay and two of us, was an extra 80 euros charge that we were not expecting. Do not have many evening plans because the evening meals can be extremely long. Our gala dinner on the last evening lasted in excess of two hours.

  We booked last summer and actually werent that sure on what to expect when we arrived for a week of skiing. We got a great apartment on the ground floor with a huge balcony overlooking the mountains and the village. The apartment was really great with 2 bathrooms and a well appointed kitchen. All the basics were covered. Beds werent amazing but maybe weve been spoilt before. There was a Keller to leave boots and skis if needed. We did visit the main hotel for one dinner and a breakfast. The food was adequate but nothing to really write home about. We had breakfast for 1 morning but found it quite pricey for what it was so decided to self cater instead. We stopped in the bar a few evenings for a drink and the the staff were always very helpful and willing to help. In summary I would say that staying self catering was the right option for us. The apartment was great and the hotel was good but not amazing. Maybe I would say that I am thinking about returning for a weekend biking in the summer...The staff were helpful and courteous. All in all contented.
