  Wonderful Break

  We have just returned from a fantastic 2 night break. As always we were warmly welcomed by all of the staff and felt very safe with the additional Covid safety procedures in place. We upgraded one of our rooms which was well worth the money to enjoy our hot tub with views after a day out walking. Our children particularly enjoyed the pool/spa and we felt very safe with the current limits on numbers. Breakfast was amazing as always and the staff made sure that we had everything we needed. We look forward to visiting again very soon.

  Our favourite hotel

  We have stayed here many times and every time it just exceeds our expectations. The cleanest most comfortable rooms. Staff who make you feel welcome and comfortable from the very start. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The facilities are wonderful. Slightly expensibe for our budget but well worth saving a bit longer for. Highly recommended.

  Lovely place to stay in a beautiful village. All staff give excellent service,particularly the restaurant staff. Food was good especially the desserts. This was our second visit here and we liked being in the actual hotel rather than one of the lodges as it was quieter. The spa was great and due to covid restrictions we often had this entirely to ourselves.

  Short birthday break

  We stayed at the Ambleside Salutation and spa for three nights to celebrate my wife's birthday. We could not have made a better selection. The hotel staff were all very pleasant and helpful throughout. The hotel was perfect for walks etc, and meant we were able to see and visit the surrounding area without mixing with others in this covid era, and did not need to get the car out once during our stay. Would we go again? 100% yes.

  Relaxing staycation

  We are repeat guests at this hotel. As usual the stay was relaxing and the food was great especially the breakfast. The staff are warm and welcoming as was the room. The hotel is ideally situated in the centre of Ambleside, close to all amenities
