3 night stay
We had a 3-night stay in Paris as part of a weeks holiday and booked to stay here. Pros: Lovely lady at reception with blonde hair (can't remember her name) was great, very helpful and always smiling. Always remembered our names and room number and greeted us every time we left or came in. Very centrally located and has lots of shops and restaurants close by. Easy transport from Gare de Lyon. Cons: Very old fashioned hotel and the room we had was nice but in need of some upgrading and repainting in areas. Had to have the window open at night because of the heat but woke up next morning covered in insect bites. Can be loud in the evenings but it didn't bother us too much.

A home away from home
Bang in front of Gare du Lyon station, on busy and noisy streets- its not something to romanticise about, at least not at first ! But, I stayed there for a month ! A few wonderful things, I discovered about the place Convenience: everything you may possibly need is just a small walk away ! Just ask them! Clean: its a room tidy to the T, everyday. Impeccable housekeeping ! People: its not your run of the mill b&b. Everyone working here has a beautiful soul . Guest are really cared like a guest. A family member. I can never thank them enough ! I will not stay anywhere else !

Nice hotel, convenient to trains & metro
We stayed 3 nights at the end of October. The location was perfect for traveling by train or metro. We loved the small balcony with a view of the Bastille monument. The daytime receptionists were very friendly and helpful, especially Sevrine, who gave us excellent directions to the major areas and even booked a tour of the Louvre for us, but the young man on duty during evenings was indifferent. The room has been nicely remodeled but no soap or soapdish was provided; the bathroom door wouldnt close (likely because it needed to be planed either before or after it was painted) the bottled water, cups, and nespresso pods were not replaced after the first night. They do have a very good breakfast every morning.

Poor service, small and cold rooms
Hotel near train station Gare de Lyon. It is very old hotel, party restored. My room (No.112) was very small without heating. It was cold most of the time. Staff mosty speaking very poor english, although very friendly. Free wifi, no parking. Avoid room No.111, this room has not been restored yet and is really old (see pictures below). Breakfast quite good, however overall feeling of this hotel is bad. Avoid this hotel if possible.

Perfect for a short stop-over
I needed a hotel for a couple nights, close to Gare de Lyon that wasn't too pricey, and this fit the bill. It's an old, small hotel and has some quirks, but overall very pleased with my stay. The place is less than a block from the train ststion. The staff were lovely..very friendly and helpful. There's a tiny lift which does the job of getting your luggage to your floor. I was surprised to find a king bed in the room. And an extremely comfortable bed it was, with no less than 5 wonderfully cushy pillows. When you close the window and drapes, it's dark and quiet. The only sounds came from neighbouring units bit nothing disruptive..some squeaks and moving around. The bathroom was small but featured a really good sized shower with excellent water pressure and lots of hot water. There's also a heated towel rack which is a nice touch. Yes, it's an old hotel with some cosmetic issues and the wifi is very spotty and the rooms are not spacious, but it's clean, you can sleep and shower very comfortably and it's close to transit, restaurants and shops. Perfect for a base from which to explore the city at a very affordable price.
