  First visit

  My husband and I recently stayed here and we cant wait to return. All of the staff were super friendly and made sure everything was perfect!The rooms are spacious and very clean. The food was fantastic. Would highly recommend this for a great get away!

  Lavish Hidden Gem

  My husband and I came and stayed at the Carnegie for a weekend event. Having never been there we were unsure what to expect. From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted by the General Manager and Front Desk Staff. Above and beyond service like I have never experienced. We weren't treated like just a guest or a number, we were treated like we mattered. It was so welcoming and charming. We were personally walked to our room which was larger than any standard king room we've ever stayed in. The event we were attending was a surprise party for our friend that was so well planned out and orchestrated. The decorations were perfect but not tacky or over the top, the dining room decor was elegant but casual and the entire environment was fun and upbeat. The food was fantastic and plentiful, although the pasta left alot to be desired. The General Manager was on top of her game and consistently making sure everyone was enjoying themselves which was no easy feat. The attention to guest detail from the moment of arrival to the moment we checked out and were walked out by the General Manager was incomparable. A few things worth mentioning would be all staff was abiding by COVID 19 regulations, countless times we saw staff spraying down and sanitizing lobby areas. Our room was very clean and we felt very safe in our surroundings. A few downfalls that we noticed was that the bartender was never behind the bar and it became frustrating at times trying to get a drink and the wait staff weren't very friendly. They seem bothered and inconvenienced to actually have to do their job. Those things aside this hidden gem is by far the best place we've ever stayed and look forward to returning!

  Perfect Getaway

  Our stays at the Carnegie Inn and Spa are nothing but amazing. From the location, to staff, to dining, this place always leaves us excited for our next visit! If you are ever in State College, consider staying at Carnegie Inn. The staff are polite and welcoming, rooms are very clean, and breakfast in the mornings are delicious (breakfast is apart of your stay). Definitely coming back very soon for another visit!

  a most comfortable, friendly, relaxing stay

  The charm of this inn, nestled in a wooded area yet convenient to town, combined with the super friendly and helpful staff, delicious food, good service, places to relax with friends (the big fire pit surrounded by rocking chairs was a favorite), a spacious room, beautiful fall scenery... all combined to make our stay a fabulous one! Inica, the manager, was the best! All the staff made us feel so welcome and happy to be there.

  Quick Getaway

  My husband and I recently visited the Inn. It is a very quaint property located beside golf course with views of the woods. The hotel rooms are somewhat outdated but very clean and Spacious. We were greeted by friendly, Alexa. She was excellent to deal with and very accommodating. We had spa reservations for the day and she was able to give us early check in which was a great way to start our getaway. The spa is adjacent to the Inn. The staff were amazing. I had the pleasure of services by Kimmy, Ashley and Denise. Top notch services! We also had the pleasure of dining at GRACE restaurant. The food was delicious, atmosphere was very nice and service was good. The free breakfast was the best treat of all! Thanks for sharing your Inn with us for a night. We will be back.
